  3. I'm sure there will be a lot of us fatties there. Oops miss read it
  4. Bring your cast net, you never know what you might catch. If u r looking for a tall man go the 8 ft net.
  5. Sure can, have to go to Melbourne to pick her up though. Otherwise she was keen to meet all faces behind the usernames I speak of.
  6. I can bring a fold up table as well.
  7. Similar to Glen a Barra in a cast net in the Pine river. Total ripped the net because it was caught on the snag the Barra lived in. Released to populate the Pine The other strange catch was a water rat caught on a mudeye when fishing for trout.
  8. Crab steaks, never had them before. You certainly are talented.
  9. That is a pity. I hear that the Longtail tuna in the bay will biting that morning but you won't be there
  10. I'm in. I will have the minister of finance transfer the money. How are you going to get time to mingle Daneille if you are catering? It takes a long time to prepare sand and mud crabs
  11. I drink bourbon but not on the boat.

  15. Yes it is a pity. We made a date very early for the work one so flights etc could be booked. Focus is on Hervey Bay this weekend, now only hours away
  16. I would rather be at this event than my work Christmas party. Big thank you to Danielle for jumping in boots and all to get things moving. Have to be next year for me.
  17. Hi Terry, I can not comment on the Stessl with no experience with them, sorry. Having a 5.4m CC fibreglass boat myself I find it a great cross over boat for bay estuary and offshore, however if I was to do mainly offshore fishing I would look at something like a walkaround or cuddy cab style. Just because if it is anything more than a 10 knot cross wind I get very wet and so does all my gear. Also if doing bar crossings a cab will shed most of the wave if you cop one over the front. The CC stability is very good and it is fantastic to fish out of when the weather is calm. Fishability in a CC is brilliant so they have many pluses. I am considering a walk around for my next boat, though.
  18. Not that's helps, but for informatioal purposes I'm not experiencing any of those problems on the iPhone
  19. Found this online, sounds a little similar issue but much earlier model. Can anyone help me with my DT40 Suzuki outboard engine? The thing looses power when I accelerate......? The engine runs sound when on flush muffs in the yard in idle and high revs. I've had a marrine engineer look at it quickly before this and he found no obvious problems. The engineer advised to mix my own oil with the petrol at 50:1 incase the self oil mixer didn't work as it's an old engine. So I did and on my first outting found the engine was smoking thick blue smoke and cutting out and wouldnt start again (easily). I realised then that the self oil mixer was working and that too much oil was being injected to the engine, hence the thick blue smoke. I then got rid of the self mixed petrol/oil and filled the tank with pure petrol. I took it out yesterday and the engine started 1st time, sounded good, and launched out the marina nicely at 5-10knotts. When I accelerated and got to a decent speed (as a speed boat should), after 30 seconds of maintaining that speed a clicking/tapping noise (metal tapping metal) sounded, another 30 seconds later the engine would cut out. but if i put the engine back in neutral then it would stay running (most of the time) but would not accelerate at even 8th of the speed it should and then would cut out. Once it cut out it would start after a few goes. If I maintained a speed of 5-10 knotts throughout my outings, the engine was fine. I was drift fishing, therefore was starting and stopping the engine a lot. The engine after driving it slow (where I turned it off myself) was starting by the button 1st time every time. A speed boat is no good with the speed, can someone please help?! Update: I recently had to buy a new fuel line, as the old one wasn't pumping fuel to the engine. Since I bought this the engine has started, would running the fuel line sraight to the filter make a difference? Update 2: Its had new spark plugs, Compression test came back perfrect
  20. Stranger things have happened. Try the spark plug thing and see how it goes.
