Just wondering what size hooks yas are using for small to average size trout with worms in slow moving rivers? I mainly flick plastics at them and haven’t used worms since I was a kid. I have some size 10, are they too small? cheers

Hi, does anyone have experience good or bad using circle hooks on trout or redfin? I have used them on bream with limited success. I’m told u have to not strike and let them hook themselves. Instinct gets the better of me

Yeah man, I’ve tried that and ur right. No clear answer! I asked them 1, can’t people follow the river 2, what are my insurance issues 3, do I need to turn off my electric fence flood gates as my stock will get out 4, what if they leave gates open as it will take me weeks to sort out my stock. can’t give me an answer on any of it! frustrating as f###

Haha! No I should have been more specific. im the land owner. I have people coming in on the river all the time. I just want to know where I stand.

Hi, just wondering if you need permission to follow a river from the side of the road through private lane I you stay on said river? Dpi website is confusing…

More fun today on the little atomic arowz 1000 reel Zman yabbies again. 7 trevally , 4 over 38 cm and lost a bream under the jetty nearly had it in the net too! It would easily have been my pb too.

I’m on an arroz 3-8 lb rod and a 1000 nasci reel I only have 6 lb mono with 10 lb leader so o bust a few off mate but I catch way way more than I loose it’s is sooooo much fun on that!!! 4 nice trevally today, that salmon took some getting on this and the flatty yesterday was awesome just drifting the sp yabbies in the channel off the jetty and 50 m from the pub

Cool mate let me know how u go. Bream smash them as well as anything that sees them. I use gulp scent on them to mask foreign smells
