  1. Cool mate let me know how u go. Bream smash them as well as anything that sees them. I use gulp scent on them to mask foreign smells
  2. Check out this on the same yabby Zman!! 62 cm I love this rig!!
  3. Mate I just mix the weight up depending on the current as I fish a narrow channel and sand flats. I bump them along the sand flats or let them drift the channel. 1/16 or 1/11 mostly
  4. Third outing with the new arrows 3-8 lb and 1000 nasci I lost a really big flatty and a bream before the rain beat me. The biggest problem was I couldn’t get the net quick enough. I did manage to get a medium sized trevally and this flatty. Great fun on light gear and all were caught on those Zman yabbies I caught everything on 3 weeks ago.
  5. I caught 2 nice bream and a good Trev a few weeks ago, 41 and 37 cm bream I hope I can catch similar size this summer. got my doubts tho
  6. I’m dirty I left my phone in the car I tell ya! That, will NEVER be happening again!!!!! Christ I’m cranky with myself for that.
  7. Holy crap mate I tell ya it was bloody awesome.!! Fort like a bastard but just played with him until he wore out. Took me 10 min to get him 20 metres off the jetty That rod and reel are great.
  8. I also brought a packet of gulp in a similar shape and every bite, and I’m talking big bites, they just bit them in half. Maybe I could have had 3 more decent fish. z man is way way better.
  9. So, after being a well bellow average fisher, I took breaming with bro’s advice and yesterday brought a arrow 3-8 lb estuary rod and a 1000 nasci reel. I was using Zman yabbie plastics and a 1/11 jig and so far I have since 2 pm yesterday got 2 bream one 37 cm and one 41 ( no pics as I didn’t have my phone) 1 small flatty 1 leather jacket 1 trevally That new set up is really fun to use!
  10. Thanks dude already got a 32 cm baby flatty and 2 very nice bream in merimbula after lunch. wind blew my bloody net in the water but . Good day over all tho! I’m stoked with how the rod and reel went together tho!! sweet as!
  11. Yep I got one today mate and an arrow 7 foot 3-8 lb rod.
  12. Took your advice mate I brought an arrow bream 3-8lb and nasci 1000 with 6 lb line and 8lb leader
  13. Hi just after some advice on an estuary set up. I would prefer a 1000 size reel and a 2 piece rod maybe 1-4 kg and 6 pound line for flicking plastics and unwaited nippers from the bank. question, is this to light for a decent flatty? also what do ya’s all recommend for about $350 And something that has a decent cast cheers Ducks Nuts
  14. They are classed as a pest but the best fun to catch and eat. The bigger ones eat the small ones. They lay their eggs on weed it’s unpalatable to trout that’s why they get such a go on
  15. Very aggressive mate! When they are on they smash ya! Best freshwater fish to eat as well
  16. Yeah I use worms and grasshoppers or what ever is about at the time just like catching them with plastics hardbodies and spinners. It’s more fun.
  17. Hi, I fish for Redfin in a dirty slow moving river, am I better to use bright colours so the fish can see them or do I go natural ?
  18. Thanks dude I will give them a crack
  19. Hey everyone, how good are pippis for bream and flaties? Never used them
  20. Sorry mate far south coast of nsw Merimbula tathra area
