  1. More than likely Kat it was the food as I think with the deformed tail might of made it hard to compete with other Dolphins but it seemed happy enough !!

  2. Ellicat  if you were there looking at this Dolphin you could not help but feel sorry for him so we had some Tailor fillets we gave him so I suppose that's why he hung around for so long..

They're pretty smart. Maybe this is what he does to supplement his diet due to his disability.

  3. Ellicat. Was there couple of weeks ago. Bream along rock wall and tuna in channel but boat needed. If Dolphins in area forget it. Fish up near the baited shark drumlines also for good flathead. Incoming tide best for first two hours. Few areas further up near Flinders beach good for Whiting when the netters are not there.. Good luck.

Thanks for the intel, Buzzard.  Hopefully I can turn it into a report if this wind will go away for a few days.

  4. This Stargazer I baked on the BBQ and made up a curried prawn sauce as I did not know much about there eating qualities but it did taste pretty good but on its own  a mate said they were a bit rough.

      Hi buzzard

Sounds good, I am still yet to catch one but thanks for the advice/opinion. 🙂

      Cheers Hamish

      Cheers, Buzzard.

All the best to you too.

  6. Has anyone fished the Wivenhoe dam lately. Gonna give it a hit in a couple of weeks..Cheers

  7. Gidday all. Have not been around for a while as I had a mild heart attack and had a stent fitted. Thought I was a fit 66 year old but alas it must have been the four foot bull shark that got my heart pumping to quick and the end result of it breaking the trace. I hope to get back to the fishing scene soon..Cheers all

  8. Fished Woodgate but not much around. Dart, small Spaniards and flathead. Kayaked up the Theolodite creek and a few small Jack but very quiet. Lot of throw backs...

  9. I have been getting a few of these Jew type fish in the Logan whilst waiting for a shark hit. I think they are called Yellow Jew. Does anybody know?...

Thanks for the reply. It looks like they are Scaly Jew. I just came back from fishing at Woodgate and asked around as they catch them there and they referred to them as Scalies. Cheers

  10. Anybody  fished at Woodgate south of Bundaberg, going there in two weeks and never been there. What is the fishing like?..
