After doing some more digging I've had a change of mind on the Penn and rod. Probably going to go either Shimano or Daiwa BG and a 1-piece rod.

Looking to get back into some fishing again and decided to throw some coin at a new rig to start back up again. I'm pretty set on the Penn Battle II 4000 reel as it's the perfect bang for buck for what I'll be using it for. I'm a little unsure about the rod though; I'm heavily leaning towards an Ugly Stik but not sure which one out of these two. the 6'6" one or the 7' one.
