Hi All
Last weekend I returned from off Cape Moreton to Bribie via the Inner Freeman Channel. Easterly swell (not huge) and also an outgoing tide turned the channel into a washing machine. Very hairy conditions that I don't want to temp again. The only other option was to go around the northern end of the Outer Freeman Channel, but it is a lot longer trip.
I saw a couple of boats heading in the same direction as me on the Inner Channel but they were a LOT closer to the Moreton Island shore line. So my question is, is hugging the shoreline a better option in these conditions or did they just cop the same battering we did?
Thanks
