  1. Welcome to Australian Fishing Online!

  2. Mulloway or Jew like bunches of worms on a hook, tailor fillets, sea gar, pipies, live mullet. They like the top of the tide or bottom of the tide. They like being in structures or in crevices especially on the south part of Flat Rock. We dived there and must have been 30 of them 30 to 60 pound. We also find them in reefs north of Great Keppel. Depths range from rivers to deep water reefs. When they hit they can be timid. small bites etc to just taking off with the line. Most of the time they will spit the bait out if they feel weight. Freespolling would be ideal. Let them run for 3-5 seconds. Then strike. They have a decent mouth so good size circle hook ideal. They usually have a big first run. In beach fishing I have had them run for 200 metres straight out then change as the get tired. Line strength will vary from 10 kg to 25 kg. Depending on size of fish try to stop them from getting back to their lair. Otherwise good luck with them
