that would have gone like a shower of .... imagine how you'd be to be getting hammered by that thing and think you're onto a ripper fish.........and you haul up a cattie!
Decided to go for the JDM Daiwa Freams 4500J
For someone with a preference for shimano, i seem to have now magically acquired 3 daiwa's in quick succession..........
"In Australia Daiwa released Capricorn 4500J which has a new Saltiga type handle, larger type power knob and a waterproof drag. In Japan this reel was listed as a Freams 4500J. "
oh and i know there'll be the "get a 18000 series reel and put 100lb on it, etc etc.."
But i'm not really into that... the lighter gear and degree of uncertainty adds to the
excitement i think...
the usual...cobes, kingies, AJ's, macks, tuna....
Depth will be 100m absolute max
rod unknown at this point
jig weights to mostly suit the current, but prob from 100-250g
there's a big weight difference between the sara 4000 and 5000, not a huge line capacity diff and no drag pressure diff...is going up to the 5000 worth it ?
Hey guys,
Any thoughts on the suitability of the shimano saragosa 4000F as a light jigging reel ?
Seems to be suited and well priced from the USA, would be looking at spooling it with 30lb jigging braid. the 4000 can dish out 44lb of drag so it has some balls....
