  1. @AUS-BNE-FISHO @mangajack @Junky @Rebel @Bob9863 Thanks for the help Guys I have used your tips and it has been paying off the other afternoon I caught a 35cm Whiting and a 25cm Bream. Ill give you guys a bit of incite on the gear I've been using so you are able to see if it is ok and to provide more tips if needed. Rod: Daiwa 20 AIRD-X 702LXS Reel: Daiwa 23 Aird LT Spinning Reel 2000 Main Line: Daiwa J-Braid Expedition 8lb Leader: Daiwa J-Thread Fluorocarbon 12lb Bait: Ill use school prawns chopped in half for and pilchard cubes Rigs: I actually usually fish un-weighted ever since i was little, Size 0/1 Octopus hook with 30cm of leader onto a ball swivel connected to braided main line. If there is current Ill use a paternoster rig onto a 3-way swivel with the same hook depending if im trying to catch I don't fish that much with lures only on sad flats chasing flatties. i use a 65mm Bloodworm Squidgy curl tail prawn with a light weight jig 16th OZ size 0/1 hook with s-factor Location & time: I'm not good a picking locations as im land locked and there isn't much structure ill post my river system on google maps so u guys can see. Now the times i try to go on peak High time just because it looks nice and I can see the fish hahaha. I don't have polo sonnies. Also I heard the moon and clouds affect fish size is this true? I use Bite times to see if its good or not. I really do appreciate all your guys help means a lot to me as no one has really taught me how to fish ahaha I have always just loved getting outside by my self and spending time near the water hoping to catch a feed for my self. Thanks again guys Camden Haven Area.jfif
  2. Hey guys i fish quite frequently in the Camden River and surrounding rivers. Im not sure if im doing something wrong but everytime i go fishing i catch aprox 20 small bream, whiting, flathead and flounder? Out of all those fish i might get 1 keeper if im lucky. I dont have a boat and fish from the bank in different areas. And i dont know if I should change areas, baits or if this is just normal in my area. If you guys could help me understand why my fish are always small thay would be great. Thankyou,
  3. Hey guys, ive seen in a few different bait and tackle shops they sell tube worms? What are they and how do i get them? I know there are 3 different species of beach worm. And you get them my burleying up a beach with a stink bag I know squirt worms you get from the sand/mud flats with a yabby pump. And i know Blood Worms are gathered from mudflats with a pitch fork or your hands. But what are tube worms hahahah. Your help would be greatly appreciated and if you can provide a scientific name that would be the best. Thanks guys,
  4. @mangajack Thanks mate. I swear you respond to all my posts hahah ty bro your a ledgend
  5. Hey Guys I've been doing a bit of research on Sand Whiting and how they find there food. I have read that they rely on vibrations in the water emitted by their prey. Does anyone Rig there Yabbies Live or Their Squirt worms live. If so how would you do it to make sure they stay alive. I know the most common way to rig these baits is just to thread them on to the hook but obviously they wont stay alive for that. Let me know if its posable and how you guys do it? Thankyou
  6. @mangajack Yea of course I want to reach out to someone to do an analysis on the amino acids in these local mud flats Mollusks . I will be moving to Port Macquarie in a month and that will enable me to do more extensive testing on Mollusks vs fish. Because I know the limit of most Mollusks is 20 per person and mud Mhelk are everywhere on the mid north coast of NSW. I will post these results within a year of testing. Pro cure have a Crab and Shrimp attractant that I might try aswell.
  7. Hey guys I've done a little bit of research on chemoattracts for fish and coruscations, specifically amino acid chemoattracts. If you didn't know what a chemoattractant is its basically an external stimuli that help to induce movement of chemotactic cells towards the direction of their highest concentration, or put simply a way for a fish to find there food easier and faster. Now if you understand the main diet of a mud crab which is slow-moving or stationary bottom-dwelling animals such as mollusks, smaller crabs and worms. They also eat plant material but mainly mollusks such as mud cockle & mud whelk. There favorite food blended up would have a large amount of chemoattract amino acids in them that mud crabs specifically love. (in theory) I would like to know if anyone has tried using them as crab trap bait blended up with other ingredients such as tuna oil pollard pilchard mince. If I could use a Special bait mix for mud crabs it would be: -Mud whelk Mince or Mud Cockle -Tuna Oil -Aniseed Oil -Filler such at hydrated Pollard mix/ hydrated chicken feed -Pilchard Mince -Gelatin Powder for slow release or you can just freeze -30g of each amino acid Glycine, arginine and alanine If you have any insight to this topic please share you help would be greatly appreciated. Or you can ask questions if you would like clarification on this topic. Link from WA DPI for General mud crab information
