  1. For mounting a Railblaza bait board on the ski pole I used the below from BCF in combination with some marine ply.
  2. @The Sloth - for the pad in the ladder recess I used a "Croc Grip" anti-slip pad from Bunnings.
  3. On the battery side of things, this is how mine was installed. Some corrosion on the positive terminal, so am thinking about adding a cover to divert any water that comes in through the seal in lieu of relocating as still have plenty of storage access.
  4. In regards to props, I started out with a Enertia Eco 19P. Great performance, however it did provide a lot of stern lift, which created chine walking at high speeds and I found that I couldn't get anywhere near WOT rpm. I then went to the Rev4 19P, which as per others comments seems to be a good fit. I've also got a Rev4 17P on loan from Hayden that I'm testing out - initial perspective is that the 19P is still the best (albeit topping out at around 5500/5600rpm before boat becomes a little scary to steer), but the 17P does allow the motor to get closer to the WOT RPM range - I've had it up to 5800rpm on the Brisbane river without any problems.
  5. @The Sloth - yes, I put holes in those otherwise water sits there for ages. They are very effective. I also cut out some sections in the esky area to reduce pressure on the fuel cables - not sure if this is a problem in later boats as Tim did mention he modified that area a little.
  6. @GregOug - this is what I had installed to access the storage area without having to go through the bow. The back cushion in the bow is also hinged on my boat, however find this makes it easy to put larger objects in.
  7. @WilliBoaz, one other thing to consider is getting Tim to install a 12V socket and USB ports in the port helm glovebox. Is very handy for charging phones and also when you need the 12V socket to pump up tubes etc. One other SS64 that I saw at Hayden's last year when mine was in for a service had a water bladder installed with a pump.
  8. Hi @WilliBoaz, as Greg mentioned, on the hinged part there is a rubber stopper that prevents scratching which is effective as long as the stopper doesn't move up as it sits in a groove. I've been meaning to put something to protect the gel coat as a backup but haven't got around to it. @GregOug, will share a pic tomorrow, but it is essentially what you mentioned above with respect to my comment on the door. @The Sloth, I also had some slight fuel smell coming from the boat, but found it subsided after I tightened the clamps on the various hoses as some were a little loose. I also had to get Tim to change the fuel vent on the port side as the one installed originally was blocked. I also found that 50mm driving light clamps attach nicely to the ski pole and have used those to mount a railblaza bait board and rod holders. It certainly is interesting to see how the design of the SS64 is evolving, as I've got one of the earlier ones (delivered in Oct-19) prior to the recent tweaks to the design. I've also found that the Esky that comes with the boat is too high so the seat cushion sits on the esky itself, but have found that a Dune esky from Anaconda fits quite nicely.
  9. Sloth - A great write up (from another SS64 owner). I've also drilled small holes in various places (on the step and also in the storage area under the port and starboard helm) to ensure water drains completely when hosing the boat out or if stopping too suddenly as it can get trapped in certain places otherwise. Willi - would recommend getting a door installed on the port side helm section as it makes it much easier to access the storage compartment instead of taking out the bow cushions. There is enough room in there to install a 12 Marine Oven which I'm also thinking of doing.
  10. Hi WilliBoaz, If you're referring to the pic I had posted at Pelican Banks off Fraser, that style of bimini comes with the Fluid Core wakeboard tower that we had added to the boat as an optional extra, which along with clears which makes trips on the bay even better for the wife and kids. Per what Greg mentioned, the boat comes with a normal type bimini as standard though. We haven't had much chance on the open water to wind it up, but have given it a few runs at WOT on the river - however as Greg said there's not too many times when you'll need that speed - however the torque for pulling skiers is great from the V8.
  11. Hi Greg, the first prop was the 3 blade (Eco Enteria 19P) - great prop but probably not as well suited to the boat as the Rev4. The prop I've got now is the 4 blade (Revolution 4 19P) which should the same as yours as I picked it up on Saturday and H mentioned he was supplying it for new customers with the same motor. A pic of our boat anchored at Pelican Banks off Fraser at Xmas. By the way, what are you doing for a bait board as have been looking around for one that will mount on the ski pole?
  12. Hi Greg, am a first time poster on this forum, but I've had the SS64 with the same motor (V8 200 Pro XS) since late last year and have done around 30 hours so far, mainly skiing and wake-boarding with fishing hopefully happening more once the weather gets better - you won't be disappointed in terms of performance and handling! In terms of props, I started with an Enertia Eco 19P, but have just changed to the Rev 4 19P. I've also got the same radio although have yet to install it.
