  1. Yes you get sick of seeing this over and over again . IMO this is hooning , Dangerous operation , speed noise etc etc .Were their vessels impounded ? .That’s a tight waterway with not too much room for error. Neil
  2. They’re stocked in Monduran Dam up just North of Gin Gin , so they’ll be in the Kolan River.Don’t know how far north of there they can be found. regards Neil

  9. Hi Ray , no all caught casting hard bodies and plastics . We’ve now got 20 Barra with one more day to go. Some more photos attached
  10. The bigger fish were 85cm the small ones were 50cm . We got 11 fish today , in about 90 minutes , two double hookups which made for a bit of excitement.
  11. First time fishing trip to Monduran, Just my brother and myself living in luxury on a powered camp site. Plenty of cool southerly wind been happening since Saturday ,that’s made fishing a bit slow. Got a small Barra on first day , nothing on day 2 , but cracked the code today with 4 Barra. As the dams over flowing there’s lots of water between fish and a whole lot of trees to contend with. Appears to be a total lunar eclipse happening as I type this , so it might be interesting what happens tomorrow. Here’s a few photos.I’ll try and get some photos of the moon and add them later.
  12. Couple of very nice 50s Ray , well done. Hopefully we’ll get a few Barra next week regards Neil
  13. Nice clean looking yellowbelly Ray, You should have put a hook through a couple of those dragon flies and send them down. Well done regards Neil
  14. Hi Daryl , hope you’ve been keeping well. Nice Jewie mate , bet you got a surprise when that surfaced! Regards, Neil
  15. Caught most of the fish in about 1.5m to 2 m .
  16. Went out in the southern bay late this afternoon with my brother flicking some soft plastics in some very shallow water. We picked our way through a lengthy species list (Snapper, Grassy Sweetlip , Gold Spot Cod , Mosses Perch, Flathead, Black Spot tuskfish , ) and came away with a nice little box of fish . Regards Neil
  17. I wonder whether they’re all holding up closer to the dam wall, as per Hinze? Regards Neil
  18. I’ve used all 3 , IMO Dyneema is far superior. If you stow the boat out. In the elements ,put some sort of cover over the winch , this will extend its life. regards neil
