George Papanik got a reaction from kmcrosby78 in Finding my Dream Boat
Hi Leeroy 1,
If you can get into a fiberglass boat over an aluminium boat your back will thank you. These days the big 3 (Suzuki, Yamaha, Mercury) all have good reliability and you will be happy with any of them. Are you thinking side or centre console?

Hi Kimtown,
I've done a few reef fishing charters as you have planned. I have multiple sizes with the new 2020 Saltiga and 21 Certate SW. I would definitely recommend the new Certate SW as it has 95% of the Saltiga technology but for 40% less cost. Highly recommend Tasline Braid 80lb for GT hunting (breaking strain 116lb) and 40lb for the flats. It's silky smooth without coatings to allow 15% extra on your spool and less chance of wind knots. Buy some small diamond coated sharpeners from Bunnings (pocket size) and make sure your hooks are always sharp. Enjoy!
