  2. Those NPD bass will have a go at any color lure.Had a good morning in the overcast conditions again this morning. Even seen the sun before I left. Some bass are starting to fatten up.Still a lot of big forkies around at the moment, they havnt retired for the winter yet. Dino
  3. Almost ha ha, its a cheap pair of slippers. Sometimes I forget I have them on and step out of the boat in the water at the ramp.I have to have a few pair on the go.
  4. Arrived to a very gloomy NPD this morning, missed out on a wet ass thank goodness. Started trolling and never stopped till I got back to the ramp.Bass were hungry and willing to take lures. I even gave some old favs a run, managing 36 bass, one whopper forkie(on spinnerbait) and one large turtle, all on lures. Dino
  5. That proves my point, there one day gone the next. There was plenty at the floats yesterday I left them biting there. Maybe they got ****** because I left.
  6. At long last the bass at NPD are starting to get a bit bigger heading into winter. Managed 44 bass this morning with 30 on lures and the rest on shrimp. Also had a funny thing happen to me, sort of reminded me of another bloke,a shower of rain was heading for me, so I quickly put on my raincoat. What happened next I have never seen before, the rain split before it reached the boat and passed 10ft out on either side of me and I never got one drop on me. I might have to buy a casket ticket. Dino
  7. You can see where some came from, they like their weed.
  8. With winter on the way the bass are getting hungry. Managed 38 bass, 3 forkies and 3 spanglies, all on lures. Cant believe the mongrel forkies are still lingering on.Some of the bass were not much bigger than the lures and some were decent size. Lures used in the pics, most from trolling. Dino
  9. Just when you think you have worked them out , they move on.
  10. Bit nippy this morning, had to wear a vest, should of wore tracky pants as well. It was that cold I put on my rain pants.Gets a bit cold down in the hollow. Bass didnt mind though, no whoppers, but plenty of small and medium, half as many as last week, 46 and one large cattie.
  11. Ray has had his stones removed (gallstones) Been in hospital for a week now home. I thought we were a few reports short. Dino
  12. I said to the wife, we need to buy a house at Maleny, she laughed and said alright then off to buy a lottery ticket you go.
  13. Those cheeky bass up at Baroon where I have been getting them were hiding. I had to troll around until I found a good school, lucky the bass were hungry for lures of all kinds, so I rewarded them with a heap of shrimp I didnt use. Baroon was fogged out until 7am, lucky I knew my way around.Good part was I didnt have to worry about anyone seeing me have a pidal. 88 Bass so pic heavy, managed 4 50s. Dino
  14. Only thing I think they are after are the mussels as the water drops, I saw a sow giving birth a few years a go, could of walked up on her.
  15. They had a deer cull recently, they also used to have pig shooters, it was quite nerve rattling, you would hear a shot and duck quickly as you didnt know if it was comming your way.
  16. Ran into some of Rays mates soon after leaving the ramp, they were busy foraging and didnt hear me until late.(or smell me ) Trolled around for a couple of hours for 24 bass, some small and some ugly. Dino
  17. Bass move around a lot, you have to track them down, best way is start trolling until you find them.
  18. I would like to win the lottery and buy a house overlooking Baroon dam.
  19. Back up to Baroon again this morning. Gate was open at 5.15am so I went right in and on the water by 5.30am. By 10am I was off the water as it was getting lumpy, having caught 78 bass with the majority on purple lures. There was a comp a few weeks back and biggest bass was 35cm, well i had 4 over that by 7am. Dino
  20. Yep I will have to see what other purple lures I have that go down 15ft for my next trip.
  21. Unfortunately we are not allowed to use bow, spear or net in fresh water here in QLD. We just watch them swim by or catch them on corn.
