  1. Gee I hate it when you cant get a park at bucks.
  2. For some reason it is taking a very long time for the water to clear from the recent rains. Some bank fishing has been OK from the pump house in the upper pine river. At the dam you have to go upstream a long way to find some nearly clear water, even then the fishing is slow. Dino
  3. Rang Ray yesterday and his wife said he was in hospital. Cant remember wheather she said he had kneemoania or dicktherior. Get well soon mate I just got over covid and infected chest, it drains your energy. Dino
  4. It wasnt a big school, but they kept passing under the boat at a steady pace and you can tell by the thickness of the lines that they were decent bass.
  5. Its one of the widest fish I have seen for that size out there
  6. Late start at NPD this morning, but it seemed to pay off.Headed downstream to the coffee colored water to do my shrimp traps or should I say redclaw traps, as most had more redclaw than shrimp.Still got plenty of shrimp so I put them to work straight away. Managed 33 bass and one tandan down the bottom end of our area before heading back to within sight of the ramp and picked up another 20 bass, then gave my spot to a couple of late starters. Dino
  7. By the look of my horrible thumb, should not be putting it in anythings mouth.
  8. Headed up to the cleaner water out at NPD yesterday in search of a few fish but they were hiding and would not play. So I came back to where the fresh clean water met the muddy water and found some small bass that were hungry. Managed 37 on shrimp before heading home for an early soup for lunch. Dino
  9. I havnt taken a fresh water fish home for about 15 years.I am just to buggard to clean them and they are not the best eating fish. My son has a big boat and he drops in ocean fish already cleaned and cryovaced. Dino
  10. Yes another great session at Baroon. Cold start but warmed up to a good morning, weather wise and fishing wise.Had to do a lot of moving about, trolling lures and shrimp fishing. Managed 46 bass of sizes from 20cm to 45 cm. Glassed out conditions and the water is a bit clearer than at NPD. Dino
  11. I have dozens of lures I use, main ones are spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, slow blats and crazydeeps
  12. 101000 over 40cm,99000 over 30cm............ha ha
  13. Late start this morning, visited the gym first. Hit the water at 10.30am,and headed to the spot I got bass a few days a go. Nothing on the sounder all the way there, or when I got there. I did notice a few fish soon after leaving the ramp, so I got back there as quick as I could, right move as it was fish on. They were hungry for shrimp and did not like any of the lures I tried to entice them with. Managed 48 bass and most were over 40cm.
  14. Looking at the weather this morning I think I will go back to bed or have a bit more sleep in the chair with the heater on, dont think I could face another blizzard. Dino
  15. Headed up to the top end of NPD yesterday searching for clear waters. After launching I headed right to the top of our boundary to where the waters are clearing and trolling a flickashad lure I was on right away. While releasing the bass I noticed the sounder was lit up with fish, so over the side went shrimp and it was fish on and on and on, for a couple of hours, also as they slowed down managed to pick up some on spinnerbaits and chatterbaits.I was home for a late brunch away from the cold blizzard. Also managed a 50cm toga, microchiped it but tag gun failed and in my hurry to get it back in the water, I missed getting a pic. Dino
  16. Bass do not breed in the impoundments, they are stocked. Bass need to get to the brackish water to breed, not all bass make that trip each year.
  17. Slipped up to Baroon to see what the water was like,I found out it was still dirty dirty dirty. Found a dozen medium sized bass and on the way back to the ramp found a school of smallies, ended up with 44 bass and 3 whopper eel tail catfish, all on shrimp, lures just did not work. 18. Confusing is right,my son has a country property, with a creek. I tried to find out the rules and it was like bashing my head against a brick wall. There are several types of deeds. Some own the property to the top of the bank, some to the middle of the creek and some who own property on both sides of creek, also own the creek. As said above get permission, only trouble is they will tell you what they want you to know, not necessary the truth. Dino
  19. I am over covid now and nowhere to go.
  20. Over a week off with the man flu (not covid, tested neg 4 times ) and the bass were pleased to see me back out at NPD. Managed 41 bass and one yella ( i think its the same one Ray caught ) Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, ice jigs and only a couple on shrimp as traps were nearly all empty. Dino
  21. Hope there is still some around when I get rid of this man flu, I have enough down time with injuries havnt got time to be sick. Dino
  22. Some of the eel tails up there could pull you out of the boat.
  23. Back up to baroon this morning, cold, damp and windy, but the bass were still hungry. Managed 56 healthy bass around the 45cm mark, on spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and livebaits.Traffic was bumper to bumper heading up the coast, when I was heading home down the road. DINO
  24. With the water clearing a little out at NPD it was the edge bite that was firing yesterday. A few reasonable size bass from the edges followed by some smaller ones in the clearer shallows. 28 all up on spinnerbaits and chatterbaits and saved my shrimp for another day. Dino
  25. Tagged bass was one of mine, tagged in 2017 at 300
