  1. Two of my sons, plus son in law and one more, recently had a good session out from bunderberg.Although they faced some rough seas and once more done damage to the boat, the fishing made up for it. any here is a few pics Dino
  2. Went prospecting for gold yesterday and found plenty.First cast to the edges and straight onto a yella, then second cast on to another, I thought gee the yellas must be hungry today, so spent the morning casting to the edges.Using a TT lures spinnerbait I managed to extract 7 yellas and a dozen bass, very happy with my morning. Also 3 spanglies of good size. Dino
  3. Thats my aim,but I turn 75 tomorrow and I am running out of time Dino
  4. Both are OK, boats cost $110 a year for a permit, or the kayak area is free except for a sips permit.
  5. Had a cool windy morning out at NPD, trolled around for nearly an hour before finding a school. Managed over 50 bass and 2 yellas from the school and some from the edges on spinnerbaits. Got a bit of a shock when I saw the weed spray boat heading up the dam it looked like a BBQ boat from a distance. On my first cast I hooked something that snapped my spinnerbait wire off from the head and skirt, must of been big, I think a lungy or a massive eel. Dino
  6. Couldnt help myself shot up to baroon again with Glen. Bass were a bit shy on the lures but managed over 50 on the shrimp. We had to try a few spots to make up the numbers,Glens turn to pick up a mary river cod, a nice 61cm,we also picked up a stumpy bass and a tagged bass. Dino
  7. Well I haqd a dozen pots in, mine and 2 of my sons had pots as well.Still looking for 3 pots.
  8. Went looking for lost pots again and had a few casts to the edges while looking. Managed plenty of bass on spinnerbaits, then finished up catching a yella on shrimp before heading home early.Few red belly black snakes moving around on the water, looking for last feed before winter. Dino
  9. No thankyou I wish to remain sane, well as much as possible, I fill in questionnairs but to old to go an argue to a group.
  10. Had a doc appointment, so got off to a late start, motored around aimlessly looking for bass for over an hour before finding a nursery school.Got several tiddlers before moving off to find another school and managed a few bigger ones and a couple of yellas. Hard work for a midday session. Dino
  11. Hang in there mate, let me know when you are well.
  12. Took a trip up to baroon dam yesterday, to fish the water in some of the backwaters with freshly covered grass. It paid off as Glen and I managed 80 plus bass for the morning in fogged out conditions. Bite slowed down as soon as the sun came out around 10 am. TT spinnerbaits were the weapon of choice, although we did try several other lures. Managed one of my own tagged bass from 2018 and 3 stumpies like the last pic. Dino
  13. I catch bass in Canungra, I have caught them beside the showgrounds and under the bridge in the main street.1/4OZ Spinnerbaits. Never caught much in the coomera they dont seem to get as far as Canungra. Dino
  14. With all the rain activity we have had, I thought it was time to go see what pots were left of mine and my sons. While chasing pots I kept busy with a few casts to the grassy edges and a few casts out in the deep, spinnerbaits to the edges and slow blatts in the deep water.Found most of my pots and managed 52 bass while hunting.Unable to troll lures with the amount of rubbish in the water. Dino
  15. Get yourself a small tinny and fish north pine dam. Have a look at the PRFMA site and Pine Rivers Lakes Fishing facebook.
  16. Decided to head upstream yesterday morning for a change. Did not have to go far before I was into some good bass, managed a fair few before heading off to see how far up the dam I could get. Surprised me how far I got, the force of the inflow must of shifted the floating weed downstream. Anyway managed 56 bass with 2x 50cm and one stumpy among them, most fish were good size, spinnerbaits to the edges and shrimp to the deep. Dino
  17. Could not see more than 3 metres until about 9am
  18. Had a morning session up at Baroon with my son Troy.He really enjoyed the morning and is ready for a return trip.We managed over 50 bass and 2 mary river cod.I caught one on a spinnerbait and Troy got one on shrimp. We got fish trolling hardbodies, casting spinnerbaits to the edges and a few on shrimp. Most of the fish were very dark as they come out of the weeds and the MRC s were very skinny and looked like the were starving. Dino
  19. We will have to have a race, a run, a walk a few steps arh buggar it lets forget it. I'll be trying mine out this arvo, walking the bank down at the sons place, if the creek is not running to fast.
  20. Sorry I sold the smaller garmin now, cant believe how clear they are.
  21. Pulled a few pots and high tailed it down the dam to the fishing grounds before it got crowded. Bass were thick and quickly got the numbers up to 44 before they stopped biting and totally disappeared.Trolled around a bit looking for them, found several schools but not hungry.Finaly got my numbers up to 48 and as it was getting hot I headed home to the air con. When I got home I was reminded that we had been married for 55 years, I said yeah I remembered it. Spoke to Ray late yesterday he was OK and doing well, said he had a nice female nurse helping him have a shower,I am booking in to that hospital for my next op. I had a male nurse offer to help me last time and he was a little suspect. Dino
