  9. A while back I purchased a garmin striker 7 for the boat, a year later I decided to sell it for a 9, i sold it for 400 it cost me 650. Well i just purchased another garmin 7 for my kayak, should of kept the old one and saved myself 250 I wanted a second sounder for the boat and one i could use on the yak. I was surprised when the wife said go for it you may as well enjoy yourself you dont know how long you have left to fish So it gives me something to do fitting it to the yak while i am laid up. Dino
  10. When I spool up a new line I usually run all the line out behind the boat for a bit then rewind it, also as mentioned when breaking in a new line it needs to be wound in under tension for the first day, especially after using light lures. Dino
  11. Back yesterday to get the plaster off and stitches out, well I got the plaster off OK but they said stitches next tuesday and then they put me in a plastic cast and said it will be on for 6 weeks, I nearly fell off the chair, I said you are joking arent you. No they said and you cant get it wet. So 6 weeks of one handed showers,my right armpit is going to get a bit stinky. Anyway check out the pics and see the bruisers are right down to my fingers and nearly back up to my elbow. Oh and I got the choice of plastic, yellow, pink, blue or black. Dino
  12. Rowing usually starts around May and goes until the weather warms up. During this time the some of the wild bass move down into the brackish water to drop their eggs, which gives the babies more chance to grow up.Same for yellas out west, they time their egg release so the babies grow during summer and can face the next winter. In the impoudments bass and yellas dont breed and some take until jan to absorb their eggs.
  13. She said she wont be wiping my date at any time,If I cant I will just have to slide along on the wet grass, like the dog does.
  14. Out to NPD for the last time for a few weeks. In for a op on my left hand, arther in my left and right thumb. They will remove a bone from my left thumb and give me a needle in the right thumb. In plaster for a week then a splint for a few weeks.I have the climbing gear ready for climbing the walls after about the second day, Anyway I have had some good fishing lately, couple of trips to lake baroon, 73 then last week 71, and also NPD is picking up for winter with plenty of fish about.Managed 41 yesterday and back at the ramp by 9.30am, found a honey hole and it was hell bent for leather fish after fish till the bait was gone, managed a nice 52cm in amongst them. Dino
  15. I often call it little canada, because of the pine trees on the hillside, there is also some great tropical scrub.
  16. had some fun in the backwaters then used what shrimp I had.
  17. Well I got a smart watch for doing a 30 day mindfulness program through DVA and it faded and then stopped, so I came in at 11 am as seen in the car clock.

    NRL 2021

Never have I been so disgusted with NRL, i knew in the first 2 minutes of the 2 games last night who was going to win. So the NRL decided to police head highs, well why havnt they for the last couple of years.First game the ref found all the faults with the knights, second game they found all the faults with the broncos. So how come the other 2 sides were so well behaved, it was a bloody joke. Then I watch the first game today and the ref was to lazy to blow the whistle, no consistency. Rant over. Dino
