    NRL 2021

England captain Joe Root has committed to touring Australia, saving Cricket Australia a financial blow of up to $200 million that would've come with an Ashes boycott……. https://wwos.nine.com.au/cricket/joe-root-ashes-commitment-saves-cricket-australia-200-million-headache/ee688bad-1e69-4b34-b7a0-0259260fba7d yeah so says Joe, but be mindful..... one Joe doesn’t make an orgy

hmmm, seems the Poms are looking for a way out of their Ashes tour here, if their wags are not allowed to come along to comfort them for another failed series

Nah, I thoroughly enjoyed their win on the score board, and it being set in stone in NRL records.... but long before the bunker, I didn't require it or Johns' or Fittler (and still don't) to tell me when a couple of dropped/loose possession balls are not strips GO the BUNNIES

WEEK THREE results Friday, September 24 Preliminary final 1 Bunnies 36 v 16 Manly Saturday, September 25 Preliminary final 2 Melbourne 6 v 10 Penrith so it`s a Bunnies v Panthers grand final…. will Bennett go down memory lane and rehash his 2006 Bronco v Storm GF blue print for 2021, I’m sure if the need arises he would again welcome a couple of unwarranted penalties going his way

  8. yes, it could do it....personally I`d be using the Viking's dory for the trolling, otherwise you would be paying ridiculous $$$'s for your GT, whiting and flatty fillets....
  9. personally I think it`s a bit 'going overboard' for chasing GT`s, but it would be very comfortable for drifting the flats bottom fishing for winter whiting or trolling for flatties

FINAL’s WEEK TWO results Friday, September 17 Semi-final 1 - Manly 42 v 6 Roosters The Roosters have been running on dropped battery cells for half the season and finally the batteries couldn`t take this week ends recharge attempt…. Manly looked good, but a severely battered, under manned opposition in knock out finals can give that appearance. Saturday, September 18 Semi-final 2 - Penrith 8 v 6 Parramatta Interesting and enthralling game…. after the Bunnies battering last week and this physical hard fought, fast game and only scrapping home by their scrambling defensive efforts, the Panthers are looking Storm fodder…. Bunnies v Storm GF?

Finals week 1 results Friday, September 10 Qualifying final: Storm 40 v 12 Manly Storm showed how to stifle Manly`s forwards and cut out Turbo Tom`s running game… Saturday, September 11 Elimination final: Roosters 25 v 24 Titans Good game to watch, the opportunist bounce of the ball into Wallace`s hands just short of the try line for him to score sent the match into a pot-a-thon which Sam Walker potted at the 78th minute… as the finals format is designed for, 5th knocked out 8th. Qualifying final: Panthers 10 v 16 Bunnies I tipped the Panthers, but... was hopeful for a Bunnies win Bunnies will be cheering for the Storm to end the Panthers final`s charge in Week 3 Sunday, September 12 Elimination final: els 28 v 20 Knights as the finals format is designed for, 6th did eliminate 7th

Round 25 results Thursday Raiders 16 v 40 Roosters once again the Raiders have another whole off season to practice blowing their horn Friday Sharks 16 v 28 Storm Sharkies were losers twice in the one round…. caught and gaffed by the Storm and gutted and filletted by the Titans Eels 6 v 40 Panthers Was it ever doubtful? Saturday Broncos 35 v 22 Knights Fancy that…… Cowboys 18 v 46 Sea Eagles the Cowboys looked to be in it…. then the slaughter happened Rabbitohs 20 v 16 Dragons 3 quarters of a team of ‘thrown in for NRL experience’ Bunnies slayed the Dragon… Sunday Titans 44 v 0 Warriors Tigers 0 v 38 Bulldogs Well fancy that.. both the Warrior’s and Tigger’s thought Mad Monday started this Sunday.
  16. I use my stern anchor where and how the star picket was used in the video... anchor in the sand on the beach above high tide mark, 1.5-2metres of chain shackled onto the anchor shaft and a stainless ring shackled onto the other end of the chain to pass the rope through. I connect the loose ends of my bow line and stern line together so I am basically using one continuous circle of line and just double over the line to tie off at the ring on the chain at the anchor on the beach I`ve found this to be a quick and easy way to position and reposition the boat through the tidal stages

with this weeks games have a good check of team lists, and later in the week team changes as a few of the more serious finals bound teams will take advantage of round 25 to rest (a couple/few) key players or support players with niggling injuries

Round 25 Thursday Raiders v Roosters, 7.50pm at BB Print Stadium, Mackay Friday Sharks v Storm, 6pm at Cbus Super Stadium Eels v Panthers, 8.05pm at Cbus Super Stadium Saturday Broncos v Knights, 3pm at Suncorp Stadium Cowboys v Sea Eagles, 5.30pm at Queensland Country Bank Stadium Rabbitohs v Dragons, 7.35pm at Sunshine Coast Stadium Sunday Titans v Warriors, 2pm at Cbus Super Stadium Wests Tigers v Bulldogs, 4.05pm at Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe
  19. thanks samsteele115 the basic, effective off beach anchoring system, noobies will be able to add this to their growing knowledge bank I always have 2 sand anchors on board, one bow and one stern, I often use both when whiting fishing for anchoring across the lower tidal flows.... instead of using a star picket for off beach anchoring I use my stern anchor as the system`s land/beach based tie off point, when needed

Round 24 results Thursday Knights 15 v 14 Titans Knights showed they have a short finals series ahead… Friday Warriors 16 v 28 Raiders Warriors won the first 40, and the Raiders slaughtered them in the 2nd part of the 2nd 40 Roosters 12 v 54 Rabbitohs the toll of the Roosters long injury list has been showing, and the depressed fracture of the cheek to Manu courtesy of Latrell Mitchell`s mental walkabout will not help their finals chances, but it did add some extra feeling into the traditional Bunnies v Roosters hate match up Saturday Dragons 38 v 26 Cowboys yeah well, one of them had to win, I guess…..it was good they both showed up for the game Sharks 24 v 16 Broncos one could expect a top 8 team would beat 2nd last on the ladder… Storm 10 v 22 Eels Didn`t the Eels play well, most of the Eels productive attacks came through the Storms young fill-in winger`s side... it was a bit out of character for the Storm to be so uncoordinated in their attack and sometimes casual in their defensive efforts… in the 2nd 40 minutes Jessy Bromwich seemed to frequently die with the ball on the 5th tackle just short of the line, during back line plays… very strange Sunday Sea Eagles 36 v 18 Bulldogs Ditto Sharks v Broncos comment, one could expect a top 8 team would beat last on the ladder… Panthers 30 v 16 Wests Tigers it was always going to be an unfair match up, right from the time the original 2021 draw was first announced last year…..

    NRL 2021

a couple of games with added interest in this week end`s line up... the Bunnies need to put in a huge offensive, and a dominating defensive 80 minute effort this round against the Roosters sitting in 4th spot, to give their fans some hope that they can match it with the Storm and Panthers in the finals if the Bunnies do over the Roosters, Manly would need a margin of 47 over the Doggies to move into the top 4 and drop the Roosters to 5th... will the Eels put up a showing against the Storm or will they be a fish fillet and get battered and as-salted.... both the Titans and Raiders will be cheering for Broncos ambush of the Sharks, to keep their top 8 hopes alive

    NRL 2021

Round 23 results Thursday Titans 20 v Storm 34 it would have been a quiet half time chat by Bellamy reminding the Storm (even with Hughes out through concussion procedures, Bellamy resting Funicane, Brandon Smith and Olam) there is a huge gap between the top 2 on the ladder and the others Friday Raiders 18 v 19 Sea Eagles yeah well, Manly`s not just a one player team… there is a couple of them if they turn up on the day, against other pretenders Panthers 25 v 12 Rabbitohs black cat`s put a 2nd half shut down on the Bunnies, I think Bennett would have been quietly comfortable with that 2nd half showing by the Panthers… he and the Bunnies have been quietly building up a similar aura with-in themselves as the 2006 Bronco side Saturday Wests Tigers 20 v 50 Sharks Oh dear. are the flake fillets that good or were the Tiggers that…… Bulldogs 16 v 22 Knights That was a spirited Doggies performance…. what does it say about the Knights at this stage of the season Eels 32 v 16 Cowboys the Cowboys made the Eels look good, the big boys will show up the Eels deficiencies during the final`s games Sunday Dragons 22 v 40 Roosters IMO, it will be a moment of fleeting sadness when the injury wracked 2021 Roosters get knocked out of the top 4 next week… they have turned up and given their all while the odds have stacked up against them. Broncos 24 v 22 Warriors OMG…. the $1,000,000 per season earned some of this month`s player payment

the season's starting to slip by rapidly now..... thankfully, the NRL has worked hard to allow us to have a full season Thursday Titans v Storm, 7.50pm at Cbus Super Stadium Friday Raiders v Sea Eagles, 6pm at Suncorp Stadium Panthers v Rabbitohs, 8.05 at Suncorp Stadium Saturday Wests Tigers v Sharks, 3pm at Browne Park, Rockhampton Bulldogs v Knights, 5.30pm at Cbus Super Stadium Eels v Cowboys, 7.35pm at Cbus Super Stadium Sunday Dragons v Roosters, 2pm at Clive Berghofer Stadium, Toowoomba Broncos v Warriors, 4.05pm at Suncorp Stadium

    NRL 2021

ROUND 22 results Thursday 7.50pm: Storm 26 v 16 Raiders Well, the Raiders tried the up in their faces and aggressive ‘get into them’ plan…. Friday Dragons 16 v 34 Panthers Black cats dentures back from the clinical dental technician Broncos 20 v 21 Roosters Good game to view… Broncos improving across the park and the Roosters holding in there with their massive injury list Saturday Rabbitohs 36 v 6 Titans Titans experienced first hand how big of a gap there is between the top 4 of the 8 and the bottom 4 of the 8. Cowboys 16 v 24 Tigers Strange match up this one, most knew the Cowboys couldn`t get the 2 points for this game… and the same most, were unsure if the Tiggers could get them either …. Sea Eagles 56 v 10 Eels the Eels left the top 4 with that crash and burn Sunday Warriors 24 v 10 Bulldogs Warriors 3 in a row. Now it`s obvious they were not missing Mt. Smart or the long white clouds… they were missing their sowing fields….. Sharks 14 v 16 Knights Full strength Knights filleted a `wanna be` top 8 pretender
