    NRL 2022

Round Thirteen results: Thursday, June 2 Titans 6 vs. 32 Cowboys Honestly, the Titans need to get rid of their Powder Puff blue, and get some Maroon in their culture… Friday, June 3 Panthers 30 vs. 18 Bulldogs Honestly, even with a change in dry food, the Doggies can’t firm up… Saturday, June 4 Sea Eagles 44 vs. 12 Warriors Honestly, the NRL Dolphins will probably win a couple of Premierships, long before the Warriors…. Sunday, June 5 Raiders 22 vs. 16 Roosters. Honestly, the Raiders played the 2nd 40, hoping not to lose..

  5. Cheers Kat. I have adult children and their partners living in Rocky and all are keen fisho's, so I'm often geting reports of sightings off them. One just needs to be aware that they are part of the system, the out of the way creeks in the Fitzroy are the higher concern areas.... but in saying that any where there is still a concern area

Round Twelve results.. Thursday, May 26 Storm 28 vs. 8 Sea Eagles Manly was unfortunate the BOM did not put out a Flash Flood Warning. Friday, May 27 Panthers 22 vs. 0 Cowboys Panthers with a tidal surge. Score line doesn’t tell it, the Cowboys put in a grinding defensive effort, with very few scoring opportunities offered to them. Broncos 35 vs. 24 Titans 1st 40 minutes was a Titan’s tidal surge… 2nd 40 was a 31-0 Bronco’s tsunami. Saturday, May 28 Warriors 16 vs. 24 Knights the forecast for both was not great, but the Knights got the drought relief Poor old Warriors, the Dolphins are already the Bookiies `odds on` favourite to win a Grand Final before them… Rabbitohs 44 vs. 18 Tigers Bunnies came in from a 1st 40 minutes 12-18 half time deficit… 2nd 40 minutes… Bunny Tidal Wave Sharks 16 vs. 36 Roosters Roosters surf while Sharks drown…. Sunday, May 29 Bulldogs 24 vs. 34 Dragons as expected the Dragons out surfed the Doggies Raiders 20 vs. 28 Eels like 2 great oceans meeting there was a lot of wash and boil in this match, the Raiders finished on simmer.
  7. if the business in no longer viable... ignorance will not save it... from Alvey themselves; "The ability to source raw materials together with drastic cost increases, significant and increasing domestic and global supply chain logistics issues, and coupled with Covid 19 disruptive staff shortages, Alvey Reels has made the difficult decision that production at the Carole Park facility is no longer sustainable, and to cease manufacturing effective 30th June 2022.".... " proving to be too expensive to remain in business."

" proving to be too expensive to remain in business." facts are facts, many business`s are suffering in these times… the building/construction industry is an example of the previous reliable sources of materials failing, rising material, and transport costs etc.. it’s all part of an ever growing global crisis.
  9. Happy Birthday Kat, hope you have a great 9 days up there. Please be aware that there are crocodiles up that way. The Fitzroy has a reasonably sized population of them and they are around the river's town reaches and some are often seen swimming near the main traffic bridge in Rocky itself. Crocs have also been sighted at beaches in the Causeway Lake area.
  10. okay, I'm not sure whether you are saying these people are accessing your property from the river itself or whether they are accessing your property via a private lane... if they are accessing through a private lane, put up a no trespassing, private property sign. if they are coming in from the river it's self, the following is on the Australian Canoeing site. https://www.exploroz.com/forum/45914/public-access-to-waterways-on-private-land if all gates fences etc are on your property, no pr**k has any right to interfere with them. Now in offering the above, I can assure you that if you lock access gates, put no trespassing signs up, and tell people it's private property and @*** OFF, call police to remove people if necessary, it will take years and years worth of letters from and between Council, State Departments etc to wade through what is and what isn't... This of course is just my view and I always talk to my self before I follow my own views...

Round Eleven results Thursday, May 19 Knights 12 vs. 36 Broncos Knights looked good for a while, ha a couple of calls not go their way, but… the Broncos had the defence and ignited the afterburners. Friday, May 20 Tigers 36 vs. 22 Bulldogs Half time Tiggers 18-0….55 minutes Doggies with the momentum…Tiggers 18-16 60 minutes a Doggie is sin binned….. Eels 22 vs. 20 Sea Eagles Eels last ditch effort get the choccies. news out of Sydney on Sunday is, Tommy’s Turbo blown out turbo/shoulder, requires a season ending surgical rebuild. Saturday, May 21 Dragons 24 vs. 18 Warriors 4 tries each… 3 from 4 conversions, and a penalty goal, got the Dragons home… at home. Cowboys 36 vs. 6 Storm hmmmm, Storm done by 30 points, 2 rounds in a row. Well done Cowboys… Felt and Taumalolo both left the field with (knee) MLC injuries. Felt’s considered severe. Roosters 6 vs. 36 Panthers and again the winner is…36 Sunday, May 22 Rabbitohs 12 vs. 32 Raiders Sticky’s a happy chappy. Bunnies are sinking, Broncos are rising… the Reynolds factor. Titans 18 vs. 25 Sharks, Cbus Super Stadium 4:05pm Once again the Titans fade in and out of games and run out of time

    NRL 2022

here we go again.... Round Eleven Thursday, May 19 Knights vs. Broncos, McDonald Jones Stadium 7:50pm Friday, May 20 Tigers vs. Bulldogs, Leichhardt Oval 6pm Eels vs. Sea Eagles, CommBank Stadium 7:55pm Saturday, May 21 Dragons vs. Warriors, Nestrata Jubilee Stadium 3pm Cowboys vs. Storm, QLD Country Bank Stadium 5:30pm Roosters vs. Panthers, SCG 7:35pm Sunday, May 22 Rabbitohs vs. Raiders Apex Oval, Dubbo 2pm Titans vs, Sharks, Cbus Super Stadium 4:05pm The Doggies have announced they will hang out Michael Potter as their interim coach for the rest of 2022 season. In great news for, Rugby League in general, Gus Gould welcomes him saying "he will bring a new voice and new ideas to our players"....... personally, I believe Gus is onto some thing there' with the 'new ideas' bit
  15. Hi Thorbjorn. if the gear you plan to take is fairly minimal, small tackle box, small esky/largish soft pack, etc, one of those 'little old person' tow along shopping trolleys are ideal. They are also great for jetty/pier fishing... so I'm told

    NRL 2022

Magic Round - Round 10 results… Friday, May 13 Bulldogs 6 vs. 16 Knights The future head coaching career of Barrett, any where, must be in 9.8 m/s2 free-fall and heading for a sonic boom.... EDIT: I hear the Doggie's board is meeting tomorrow about it. Sea Eagles 0 vs 38 Broncos Well fancy that, Manly’s biggest flogging by a Broncos team, and Tommy blew his turbo again. Saturday, May 14 Warriors 30 vs. 32 Rabbitohs once again the Warriors show they’re all Ha and no Ka…. Without any help from the Bunnies Titans 20 vs. 16 Dragons hard fought out game in extra time, the dices eventually rolled a seven for the Titans. Storm 6 vs. 32 Panthers all things aside, that was a thoroughly out played Storm team. Sunday, May 15 Sharks 10 vs. 30 Raiders another fancy that result. Roosters 31 vs. 24 Eels The Storm may have had a one off, bad night, but…. I can not see either of these 2 sides on recent forms being a realistic threat to the Storm and Panthers come Final's time. Tigers 12 vs. 36 Cowboys Cowboys are going well.

    NRL 2022

as fans we are very fortunate that Rugby League is an all weather sport. They have played games, in Canberra when it was snowing, an Anzac Day Rosters v Dragons game with Torrential rain and hail, an early season Sydney match with large mobile industrial fans around the side lines during an unusually late heat wave. Both the Cowboys and Tigers have a few 'mudlarks' that should shine in the conditions unless of course, in the eyes in the bunker deem the 'mudlarks have an unfair advantage

    NRL 2022

Round Nine results.. Thursday, May 5 Rabbitohs 12 vs. 32 Broncos Broncos go 3 in a row…. The Broncos are growing in; commitments in defence, players starting to gel and react to Reynolds proven style of plays/kicks staying in for the 80 minutes… Broncos move into top 8.. Bunnies drop out of top 8. Friday, May 6 Raiders 14 vs 4 Bulldogs Raiders had the greater share of possession and dominance in the oppositions half. The Doggies rugged defensive efforts prevented a much larger score being run in on them. Panthers 20 vs. 22 Eels fancy that… Saturday, May 7 Sea Eagles 36 vs. 22 Tigers Plenty of tries scored. Tigers were unlucky to lose 2 players in the 1st half through the HIA, and have a send off… Roosters 44 vs. 16 Titans Titans gave their fans some early hope… that was shattered. Cowboys 36 vs. 16 Knights hmmm… Knights put in some effort and got into double figures. Sunday, May 8 Storm 42 vs. 16 Dragons Stormed…. Sharks 29 vs. 10 Warriors Most of the match the Warriors were playing against 12 after the Sharks had an early send off…half time score Sharks 12-10. About the 55th minute a Shark player cops 10 minute sin bin, Sharks down to 11 against 13.

which Bronco team will show up?... well, the NRLW comp is over, so that just leaves the one.... will the Bunnies bring more hippidy than hoppidy who will be worse?... did Gus or did Barrett do the team's contractual pep talk this week... both in poor form... yes, so put your hard earned on the pea in the whistle... so many questions, so many unknowns
  23. hmmm.... 'on a good day' does not equate with knowledge of water movement, water pressure/force, tidal influences, etc, coming and going out through a narrow exit/entry point.... just saying
  24. Mylesfisher, meanings can be a little hard to interpret, at times. I'm assuming he means 2.5 metre tinny and a 3.1 metre tinny... if not, only he knows
  25. a 60 difference.... next easy question please
