Round One results Thursday, March 10 Panthers 28 vs. 6 Sea Eagles no Grand Final hang over for the black cats… Friday, March 11 Raiders 24 vs 19. Sharks This turned into an ify-ify ( that means boring at times, for me) grinding game, the Raiders came out of the blocks to hold an 18-6 lead at half time. All up it was the usual type of performance both these teams, have offered over the last few seasons… Broncos 11 vs. 4 Rabbitohs Well, that was an unexpected result for most…. just take a moment, and take in the fact…. both teams played without Reynold’s…. Saturday, March 12 Roosters 6 vs. 20 Knights hmmm. another- fancy that result Warriors 16 vs. 28 Dragons it’s a bit hard for the Dragon’s fans to know what the season holds for them.. after al,l we all know the Warriors may or may not turn up on the day… Tigers 16 vs. 26 Storm Round 1.. the Storm, again! Sunday, March 13 Eels 32 vs. 28 Titans Coaching quote… ‘defence, defence, defence’!. entertaining viewing… on that display, will the Titan fans be in for a good season 2022 Cowboys 4 vs. 6 Bulldogs what to think….. I don’t know…… For me the 2 best viewing games played this weekend, were the NRL Eels 32 v 28 Titans and the NRLW Broncos 22 v 18 Dragons… both hard fought with plenty of talent and skills on display

Okay, here we go for 2022. As most will be aware NSW ( from our border down past Sydney and coastal inland areas) is at present having some major Qld type, rain event and devastating flooding that comes with these events. I'm sure all our thoughts are with those affected. I've checked the NRL site and could not see any venue changes for any of the games this round. May I suggest with the continuing rain and flooding down there, we all keep an eye and ear out for the possibility of game venue changes. Which ever way this goes I 'd have a wild guess and say the known mud larks are all in with a chance. My big tip for Drop Bear and Greg. Storm, Storm, Storm they have never lost an NRL Round 1 game... Okay I'm registered... let's go 2022 For those interested in the NRLW, their games are played on both Saturday and Sunday, this week end. Well, it's that time... winter Olympics over, now it's time to check out the NRLW, ladies form... NRLW 2022 kicks off this Sunday There will be five rounds in the NRLW this year. Each game of the 2022 season will be broadcast live on free-to-air on Nine's primary channel, and also on Fox Sports and Kayo. Evening Sunny boy, I'm guessing that these rainy days are not your kind of days.... My piscatorial reel arsenal is made up of Okuma spinners and br's, Shimano spinners and baitcasters, ABU Ambassadeur overheads and Alveys... daiwa reels and I had a rocky relationship in the late 70's-early 80's so parting was never regretted I'm not a reel servicing guru, so my in side reel services are very basic ones, clean out and regrease/oil, bearing, cogs, shafts etc. all my Okumas have phillips head screws for getting into the workings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWpOaD3fbRE https://www.reelschematic.com/reel-schematics/okuma-reel-schematics/ hope this is of some help to you

Howdy ubnt... I've bought Okuma reels in sizes 20-80 (2000-8000) since the mid 2000's. I have 2 of their 60 size bait feeders/runners, that I bought around 2010, that are still running great... a rinse and clean after use, along regular 6-12 month home services the Okuma range is a bang for buck reel.... The only bad reports I've heard of any Okuma reel has been from those who have never bought/used one and/or by the Richard who abuses every thing he buys and can not reason that everything has it's pre- crap itself limit

Thanks e'cat, for setting up this years tipping comp, I'll be in again. as soon as I finish checking out the winter olympics form of the ladies, I'll register.... I must admit, I'm finding it hard to fully appreciate their form with all that bulky winter gear they wear

Nah. I don't have favourites, I enjoy the form of all the female players.... from the way they gently hold and massage the 2 balls in one hand to select one, the stretch for the power serve, and the following grunts.... for some reason, the men's side of it just doesn't hold the same interest for me...

only added advice I will offer on KM's, and Drop Bear's is if you intend to set pots and leave them unattended for any period of time, hide/camoflauge your ropes and tag/float well.... most low life share farmers and their low life rellies, and mates are still on holidays with plenty of time to raid, and/or steal your pots.... sad, but active low life's are part and parcel of life these days Hope you have rewarding efforts

Ok, the way the regs are set out they talk to the individual rec fisho... as obvious as the danglers on a Brahman bull So, I am allowed to fish with up to 3 lines.. rods, hand lines etc with a total of 6 hooks. each rod, handline etc is considered/looked upon as a 'line' What are not classed as rec fishing lines are cross lines, drum lines, free-floating lines or set lines, therefore they are illegal to use -

The Sunshine Coast takes in a large area as per 'fishing wise' south of Caloundra to north of Noosa and points east of them... I lived in Noosaville in the late 80's early 90's, in those times I regularly found good jack numbers between the ferry site going over to North Shore and the mouth of the first lake up river. Also in Weyba creek from the wooden pedestrian bridge at Weyba creek conservation/bridge park up to the area around the Eenie creek bridge, this area I fished from a yak. Good catches of flatty and whiting are/were found around the mouth/frying pan area with the bonus of good sized grunter bream available along the mangroves of the point leading into The Woods bay... early crack of dawns tide phases also brought on good size trevally in the bay area.... Obviously that was 30 odd years ago but with the structure around those areas results should be there if one works it to the productive tidal phases. Pop into a local tackle/bait shop up that way and buy some hooks etc and ask what's the go for fishing locally up there.
