I am embarking on a renovation of my 310 explorer I have a reel that is a 4000 vanford and a rod that is a td black 20 Macka 5-8kg (rate my setup) and I’ve had a blast on my friends tinny Wanting to buy a rod for seaway fishing along with my new boat should I go light for pinkies, parrotfish, small bigeye excetera or go heavy for mackerel, Mulloway, kingfish excetera my budget is $500-600 I’ve had a blast fishing I caught a 70cm estuary rock cod cheers, Myles

I want a 2x1m space in between the casting decks and I want the deck to fill the rest of the boat I’m not running on a budget but I want the lightest material

How much do decks cost and what is the lightest material to use?

I’ve heard that styrofoam is pretty good for a deck as it is light

Oh I like the kayak Idea it’s just that I like fishing with my mates When I have one other person the speed is good I’ll keep my boat like it is. And I’ll do a weight test for my casting deck and motor I’ll see what I can do.

I don’t have a maritime licence and I won’t for years

Btw we have 2 sets of 2 fitting seats and it says max 15hp

Lookin for one that has a limit of 2 people probably a 250 I bet it would be good with my motor i have a 2 stroke 6 horsepower How much do they cost? Ive got a 310 explorer and I would love to get a flat deck and to basicallyt make it fancy for fishing cheers Myles

I have had a wonderful time fishing recently and I have been wanting to upgrade my 410 dart  with a 6hp I’ve wanted to add a deck to flick off of with a trolling motor will this slow down the tinny

mate i didnt high stick it and i had plenty of drag on i pulled the line and snap it took of the 3 os at the top basically removing 20cm of of the rod i asked a rod repairist and he said that i could get a refund but it depends

My rod recently was snapped when untangling my lure from a pylon after a fished smashed it and ran under structure its my new daiwa td 20 black BTW its a one piece would there be a way of fixing it or should i get a refund cheers, Myles

The jacks haven’t been around recently we chucked a g splash and a splash prawn and got nothing for 4 days no bites so we are going for big flatties my mate got on a 1.13m one but it snapped him off we use 30lb for Em but next after Australia Day we’ll go for snapper at wavebreak I’m using 20lb braid 20kg swivels and 30lb fc rock and 4/0s do I need a divider between sinker and swivel and are my swivels the right size also what bait should I use? it says reel and flick should i do this slowly? also im using harros loop knot for the splash prawn and a slim beauty knot for braid to flouro is this good?

ive heard on rainy conditions to go with the lime tiger is this true?
