That sums up fishing Moreton Bay perfectly.
For the most of us yes. But there is more to the reality of what is actually going on than the will, wishes and convenience of human beings. I seem to recall a recent request for @Neil Stratford to be banned from the competition

I don't consider it when I'm deciding whether I will fish a particular day. However, it does help determine where I will plan to fish.
That's more what I was getting at. @Andrew P @Daryl McPhee your input would be great .
To the whole community, check back and post a pic of your neap tide success

I'm interested to see what others think about neap tides and fish behavior. In my experience activity windows are generally shorter and less pronounced.
Obviously there are many other variables at play here, (location, weather, time of year etc). Less current (in estuaries) generally decreases water turbidity due to suspended solids and increases sedimentation. It does not however always mean greater water clarity.
I am interested to know how others approach fishing around neap tides in estuaries and bays?

Brave, game or insane. I'm not sure which would best describe you. haha
Well I think it that if she has picked up another shift in the morning also, (as was on the cards when she left for work today), it would definitely be an unwise move.
While I love good banter and possibly the odd prank, even I think it would be an insane thing to do. I'm sure the humour of soaking up the reaction would soon turn to a sodden sorriness

I guess the consequences of sneaking out without her makes it nonviable. Bugger.
Hmmm.... She has done it to me plenty of times....
Kids duties too. Oh well.
Maybe I could park my car and her boat in the neighbors yard tonight and wait inside the darkened house just to soak up the reaction

Yeah it’s mainly for flatties in the river it’s just possible I might hook a Jew on the vibes it’s mainly meant for fishing closer near the coast For fish like tailor and smallish kingfish or whatever decides to eat plastics around 3-5 inches or if I ever go up north again I will actually be able to land a a fish over 7kg the 6lb kept keeping shredded up in north QLD the biggest fish I landed on 6lb was the 69cm queenfish and that massive batfish I remember at Cooktown I hooked a fish that ate my bait but I couldn’t reel it in because it was to big like at all it was like I was snagged The fish decided to start moving Wasn’t even running just slowly swimming and I had to walk along with fish lmao the fish was moving me not the other way around I didn’t move that fish a single inch eventually the fish got to the end of the wharf and went under a pontoon and snapped my 6lb braid I had 0 control over that fish it was like trying to reel in 500kg weight that moved

Good job Neil. If only you had seen how kats 40 came about . It was a genuine p me off model (as was the 38 that came from her in the same few minutes). I reckon 30-35 are the best eaters

No!!
My mother has since made some custard with that recipe. We found an old tin in the pantry of the old farmhouse.
Vacuum attachment on an angle grinder and voila it was powdered again. Mum then powdered the custard. I can send you some if you like @Angry51?

Hi Bretto77
Mate what length is that barred javelin in your avatar, I caught one a few years ago that went 60cms, the one in your avatar looks over 70cms, great fish.
fatboy
I think that one went 71. Check out @Kat's Yepoon report from June 2022. Or even better... Ask her for confirmation .
Cheers.

Mate in Cairns, (who should join the site), is wondering if anyone has a redundant lowrance hds9 unit that is unusable for them. He will pay postage.
I would put up photos for better reference, but.... I'm no computer guru and things were fine before.
