I can’t believe you were silly enough to pick the Cowboys ….
  7. Finally got back on the water and had a good day out with @Old Scaley today. It took a while, but we both got a feed before stumps. Steve lost a monster which was a bit of a downer.

  10. I am a fishing reel. http://www.fishingmuseum.org.uk/reels_overview.html Over to you, Hamish.
  11. Two weeks of wind & high swells, we decided to go fishing. Sunrise & cool. Blackfish & Bream were the go. Got the Berley going. Didn't have to wait long. Two nice blackfish. Caught three more. 32to 34 CM. That was enough, off to catch some bream for puppy. Moved down to the sth.side of the bridge, changed rods. Used fresh cooked prawns. Had to wait for a while. First one 33cm. Waited 20minutes for the second one 31cm. Puppy was happy. Wind was starting up again, so we were gone. Top morning except for the wind. Nice to go fishing again. Cheers.

  13. Great report. Somebody looks happy. Well, done.
  14. Not an anchor. I come in different types, shapes, and sizes.
  15. Good to see you getting decent numbers again Ray
  16. I've been around for a long time in various forms, but have become, in some instances, more technical and reliable over the last 50 years.
  17. I'm bigger than a regular hook, but not as long as the rod.
  18. Could not help myself this morning the original plan was to fish the eastern arm but rick twisted my arm and we ended up back at the western arm. We had a bit of fun sorting out the stern motor that wanted to go forward when in reverse and go backwards when in forward. I had chipped the prop last trip and had a untested spare at home that looked the same and I swapped it over On closer perusal back at the ramp whilst it was the same diameter it was pitched in the opposite direction and had a much smaller pitch so we had hardly any torque in reverse and dropped about 2kph in top speed. After doing shrimp pots we headed in to Ians island and picked up around 10 bass before the school moved on, Went to usual spot on tip of island for some more bass before they also moved on. The wind was up and down all morning and kept on changing direction which made it a bit hard to use the spot lock in some places. Amelia took line honors with a nice yella and a 45cm bass . Final tally was down on the last trip with 40 bass tagged and released.
  19. Not a tow ball. I can be cheap or expensive for the fisherman, but everyone has one.
  20. Good luck in Yeppoon Hamish. Got to be less catties there!!
  21. I am not an animal, but part of me is always round. (Be nice. haha)
