  1. Headed to the western arm this morning with Mark. We first went upstream and wasted a lot of our valuable shrimp feeding the barred grunter and a few small bass before we headed downstream to the drop off near the white post where we found some better size bass plus the bonus of no barred grunter. We had to leave because the wind and waves were coming straight down the eastern arm and making it too uncomfortable for my back. We moved upstream into the adjacent bay and tied up to one of the isolated trees and found more quality bass ending up with a total of 30 bass with the majority of them over 35cm. The eagles appreciated a feed of barred grunter.

  9. Took a while to find some fish this morning with only 3 fish boated by 9am after a 6am launch. We finally found some quality fish in 36 feet of water down near the old far marker. . Final tally 31 bass with my best bass going 46.5 cm and plenty of fatties. Only 2 boats on the water this morning and the other boat caught 44 bass so the fish are there if you look for them. Still unable to download photos.

  13. We went to pick up our new yearly permits this morning and naturally had to have a fish first, After doing our shrimp pots the fish were scattered but a good size. Hai was happy with a 49cm ( Could have cheated and squeezed the tail to make it a 50) We finally found a good school in 60 feet of water near Fad 0 at 10.30 am but had to leave them at 10.45 to get back to the ramp to pick up our permits by 12 noon. Final tally was only 26 bass but great to get multiple fish over 45cm.

  18. is that a tag in the last one? Seems to be a strange angle. Some good fish there.
  19. Another hard day braving the wind and cold for 60 bass and one tandanus. Shrimp were very scarce it did not make any difference where the pots were located in deep, shallow near rocks or in weed beds. Bass were scattered with a lot of fish under 30cm.
  20. Hai,Rick and myself ended up with 103 bass and 2 tandans this morning. Started off with the umbrellas up in light drizzle and fish small and hard to find. With the tally at 30 bass and the largest around 33cm we were picking up a few in the same spot as last week when Rick suggested we move to a tree on the edge of the tree line. We moved from 20ft to 30 ft and struck gold and increased the size and the numbers landing 70 odd bass in the next 3 hours. The majority of these fish were between 35 and 45cm and in full roe and went hard,
  21. Good morning at the western arm this morning with 61 bass between the 4 of us.We did not have many shrimp to start off with and the second spot we tried the bass were a good size and hungry until we ran out of bait so we then went and checked our shrimp pots for a meagre result. We then went further upstream for just a few scattered fish but they were good quality with plenty of fish over the 40cm mark and only about 6 under 30cm. Water is starting to clear. All fish caught on live shrimp and we left the eagle hungry with only 2 barred grunter caught. Bit of a social day running into old mate Daz and his wife Karen for a chat. Daz had a garmin 80 lb on the bow and it was faultless not moving off station using the spot lock whilst my Kota was moving around on its 5 ft radius. Our next visitors were the rangers for another 15 minute chin wag. When we got back to the ramp the rangers were doing a mobile patrol in there ute checking up that the people in the car park and picnic area were doing the right thing. Cheers Ray
