Hey @Neil Stratford, We went to the Rous this morning and the bay was brown. Lost the only decent fish and got menaced by green sea toads. We had a shocker. Looks like you did alright. Grassies are the favoured table fair from the bay at our place. 20lb and scull dragging them in may be the only option until the sharks go a little quieter in Autumn/Winter. Did you happen to get a photo on a measure of any of your fish ? I've extended the North Vs South comp to be monthly. No secret signal for February. Submission thread -

I was thinking the grand prize could be bragging rights at a Sausage sizzle get together at year's end. What are your thoughts on that ?

* U P D A T E * The comp is being extended to being a monthly competition with a winner for each month. Most months won takes away a grand prize at the end of the year. Also, I have introduced a "Trophy Fish of any Species not covered above" category. This will be for something like a pb Barra or Mangrove Jack that is somewhat remarkable.

I'm not sure what's worse. Last time I was there (maybe 15 years ago) @rayke1938 was typically cleaning up on the barra, so he took me and a couple of other members out to get us a barra. To that point none of us had got one. Sure enough one of the other members hooks up and lands a nice one. We were trolling and it was agreed that the next hookup I would take. Soon after, there was a hookup. I took the rod and wound in a big cattie. Aaaarrrrggghhh. haha I still haven't caught even one.
