  1. Sounds like you have the skills to make a fist of it. Looking forward to following along. (Especially when the pic issue is sorted...)
  2. I run a Crewsaver manual inflate. A bit pricey if not on special, but super comfy. I wear it when I boat solo and I don't even notice it. You'll be loving the electric in no time. This fella did a mounting plate for a few of the AFO members - Steve Independent Metal Fabrications Unit 1, 44 Baldock Street Moorooka 0416 273351 No affiliation with him, just a good job at a good price. Mounted the electric for me too.
  3. No wild cards @Jono4500, sorry. How could you forget the comp ?!?!
  4. You would have been questioning whether to leave the bungs in or out this morning. haha
  5. @Allnighter 2nd and 3rd place snaps - 69cm https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipMlo-BzQ2bzlnc8KT8N6MVvdJCuQijY1JKl2iLL?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR 63.5cm https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipMUO1kG9cSpewPprHsQee5zptf042A3ZdWUgG5D?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR Winning https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipNH96C23XBmWUmna1pPxUm8fRy0ypzOjKJfY5k2?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR
  6. You see it all at ramps, so don't feel special. haha I once ran out of fuel waiting for a spot on the pontoon and had to row in. Another time I forgot to undo the straps when launching. Sounds like day 2 was worth it, with some good bream.
  7. Thanks for reporting, Hamish. It was a tough day at the office. Those damn sharks spoiled the spot at Macleay.
  8. Some Tailor in your fresh dead-bait supplies would be good for snapper and sharks - lots of blood an oil.
  9. You're definitely getting more the more you go. Barra next time.
  10. Bl00dy Hell. Better you than me. haha
  11. Enough to keep you busy. Any submissions for the comp ?
  12. If it all works out, they will usually spool your reel for you for free, so take your line with you.
  13. It doesn't look terrible, but a comparison with another would be helpful.
  14. Sorry, Rick. We're experiencing technical issues with pics and vids at the moment. I'd be taking the reel back to discuss the issue with the shop. Check any replacement while you are still there.
  15. Yuk !! haha. The breeze on the water kept things bearable. Grassies are a favourite at our place, too. I like fishing off Bribie, but the same as you - it has to be the right day.
  16. Trev 26.5cm https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipNEq-WfLnF_3scwcJqEf81B0ebp7Txq0xMWf5mL?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR
  17. Headed out with Steve ( @Old Scaley ) this morning. The plan was to take a window in the weather and fish the Rous early and head back to Green Island around 10. The weather didn't play ball and it was fairly rough as we approached my mark, so the call was made and we headed back to Green, hopeful of a few grassies and maybe a squire or two. Things were quiet to start, as the tide was on the verge of turning. A couple of small grassies and tuskies were landed by Steve and a couple of tiny squire pestered me. I threw the bait jig over to see if there was any about and landed this little trev - https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipP-MD0uT7V7np4H_nVKx5JVJFYWh0acOu-T29xk?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR One for the comp. haha The tide eventually changed and the grassies came on the chew. They took a liking to cuttlefish as well as some flesh baits from grinners and whiptails. We threw a couple of just legals back, but managed to score 8 in the low to mid thirties. A couple of good feeds coming up. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipMzGUDIKX7esyr1uKg1BLZKkX9JDJTkCC3hinHW?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR Also caught a bream for the comp, but failed to measure the shark that started my score for the day. It was only around 70cm, and took a pillie under a float. Breambo - https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipNEq-WfLnF_3scwcJqEf81B0ebp7Txq0xMWf5mL?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR Looks like it'll be a while before we can get out again, unfortunately. Apologies to those who returned to work or school today. We weren't thinking about you. haha
  18. You can, but cannot return them to the water. You must kill them and dispose of away from the water - e.g. rubbish bin, or bury them above the high water line.
  19. I concur with your bat fish hypothesis. Have seen them doing this around one of the beacons in the Bay. The rogue that bricked you could have been a blackspot tuskfish ?? From what @Another Wazza tells me, they try to brick you as soon as they are hooked. Plenty of power to them. I hooked this one on Cuttlefish at the Rous a month or so ago. - https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNZg3pijBjwQGyGZCu5K5t_C9VillVOhVsjALmyOfIHF9KCGXZ-LCN_adCwq4BjJw/photo/AF1QipNqztrnxGIQb9H4Xrqs_mvUExHUlXNEQSM5KDjH?key=Mm1JY0RtVXZ5Z0JCc1MySV9ZTDR4Y0hjQThJaFpR
  20. I would have loved to have seen that. haha
  21. Taylor are a category. Sounds like a tough day at the office. A 30cm flattie would see 3rd place at this stage.
  22. Some nice fish there @Neil Stratford and @Huxstang. @Huxstang The slateys are always a good tussle. How big do you think the smoker was ? Did you sound up the fish or the structure ?
  23. Yeah, it is. Admin are aware but a busy life is getting in the way apparently. Maybe if we all clap our hands and refresh the page at 6pm something may happen.
