I can' t find the pic of a rod that @benno573 wound in in the bay one afternoon, but I think it was returned to fight another day and be caught again.
During the last AFO State of Origin fishing comp I was able to catch this 'eye' on a plastic/jighead.

Loving all the contributions!! @Luvit your pine  river Barra is the standout... that's incredible!! In saying that you could almost certainly target them for years without catching a single one (in the pine)

Keeping on the topic of Brissy Bara, this one was found washed up under the storey bridge by a student of mine on a school trip

Any meat, but NOOOOO salad 

I have caught two rods in my time. One of them was cleaned up and continues its life cleaning up whiting. One taken with @ellicat and the other trolling in Coochin creek. Other weird stuff a couple of caps (without heads in them), a shopping basket and a burst kids inflatable boat.
 
A juvenile qld groper in a crab pot in the Bris river was a bit out there as well.

Similar to Glen a Barra in a cast net in the Pine river. Total ripped the net because it was caught on the snag the Barra lived in. Released to populate the Pine

The other strange catch was a water rat caught on a mudeye when fishing for trout.

It wasn't a monster but still cool! Here's a picture, I photoshopped out the back ground so no one new where i caught it  A few years back we were fishing up at the pin and were positive we sore a barra 'boof' right next to the boat but didn't see it again .

I cant think of anything to weird that i've snagged over the years but i did catch a gold coast barramundi in a cast net last year which was quite a surprise! Released so i can catch him another day!

Herpes...... But maybe not that unusual as most people on this site have probably caught that.

You need to be aware that you are only allowed to catch and retain one Live Fibre rod per person per trip. There is no minimum size though.  

Thought it would be interesting to start a new thread as I've heard of some pretty cool catches over time. 

The question is, what have you caught? I'm talking about odd fish, rare fish, old boots, rods, anything!! I'll start;
 
I caught an L.Wilson "Live Fibre" Custom Built baitcaster rod, complete with a Shimano Caenan spooled with what I'm thinking is about 20lb braid. I was bait fishing with the old man in Storm King Dam near Stanthorpe, and managed to pull this up from the depths completely at random! At the time, it still had a Jackall Mask Vibe rigged as well... But I promptly lost the lure to a snag. The rod required abit of a clean up as it had all sorts of things growing on it. But it works as good as new and I'm progressively learning skim casting for my trip north after christmas.

I am not wonderful, burley or handsome, and only just a man but since @ellicat has offered to drive I will still have one hand left which I am happy to apply to the BBQ.

Sorry for not replying earlier.  I'll be coming along!  It will be good to see a few old and new faces again.
