  1. Seen my local doc yesterday arvo, had to get my right arm dressed where I overbalanced off the step ladder and took a hunk out of my arm on the brickwork. Now banned off ladders.
  2. Done my good deed and took the neighbor fishing yesterday.More accident prone than me, I had to keep a close eye on him. There was a chill in the air, but didnt feel that cold and turned out to be a nice morning. We were on one fish each up till 9 am, as most time spent showing Bruce around. Finally found a school and settled in for the next couple of hours and managed 34 bass. Bruce was very happy with his first trip out for over a year and his wife was even happier as Bruce never leaves the house. Spent the night before at the hospital, got cyaticker ( spelling ) in right foot at 8pm,in waiting room 10pm till 11.20 pm,in bed till 2.30 am, given nothing for pain except a script. Managed an hour of broken sleep before keeping my word to take Bruce fishing.Slept like a log last night. Dino
  3. Yes if a bass was silly enough to go near them the were hooked

I think the refs might have it in for QLD,8 penalties, 8 restarts and 2 sin bins in the broncs game and nearly as bad in the cowboys and titans. Seems to be a lot of nit picking. This restart rule is a farce, the buzzer goes off after the event and half the time you are left wondering what was that for, as I said most are just nit picking.
  5. Went most of the way down the dam without seeing hardly a fish. Finally found a small school and managed to get a few on spoons, then when they wouldnt take them anymore I swapped over to bait. I did this to 4 small schools and ended up with 58 bass. Slow blat jig matched the hatch. Dino
  6. Got rid of that myth years a go,Have sat on a school and caught over 100 and released each one, have trolled through a school getting double hookups each way for 159 bass and all released over 5 hours, so yes just a myth. Fish are hungry or not, sometimes you can catch 2 or 3 bass and the school shuts down, usually means that they are full.
  7. Some sort of sucking mite, the brown and white is part of it.
  8. It was a nice morning on NPD yesterday, no rain and light winds, made it very comfortable.Bass were slow to start but a few small schools saved the morning. Managed a few jigging to start with and finished up with a few on bait. Managed 31 bass with a tagged 51cm and another at 50cm. One bass had a sore on its face and the culprit was still attached, so I scraped it off before releasing. Dino
  9. If you are talking about lake K and you go on sat or sun you are risking your life fishing in deep water, with the ski boats around. As ellicat said above, heaps of info here.
  10. Bass are just starting to roe up, some have already. They cant breed in the dam, so they reabsorb their eggs at the end of the year. I got the skinny one out of the weeds, it could be a large male, some grow to 50cm.
  11. Its the skinniest 50cm bass I have seen
  12. Nice cool day to start with at NPD, but it warmed up quick and got very hot.Managed 23 from the first school I found, 54 from the second school and although I stopped on top of a massive school on the way home I only managed one from it. So 77 bass with a very skinny 50cm and a fat 50cm amongst them. Dino
  13. I am not breeding them,I have been using lures a fair bit and not using shrimp, so have been taking them home with me, then when I have to many I have a bait day.
  14. I had a little help from a mate who gave me a spot to try, thanks mate.
  15. Decided to have a bait day today as the shrimp in my tank were starting to fight each other.Changed locations about 10 times and managed to get 91 bass,2 yellas and 2 tandans. Managed a 53/4 and 5 other 50cm bass.Cant beat the good old shrimp.
  16. It was that thick I had to water it down.
  17. Arrived at the gate NPD and the trees were bending over nearly touching the ground, I was nearly going to turn around and go home. Glad I decided to give it a go, as apart from some frost bite and icey winds, I still managed to rack up 44 bass before 10am and then headed for home for a hot shower and a bowl of homemade soup. Dino
  18. Chilly morning to start, that gave some fish lockjaw. Lucky there was still a few around, with a nice yella first up and then when the sun showed up the bass were on. Managed 61,trolling,jigging, casting and baiting, with 3 bass right on the 50cm mark and all nice and fat. Dino
  19. Good sessions are the norm at the moment, some schools are hungry and some wont touch a thing. If you move around you can find the hungry ones. At the moment the bass have started to roe up and most are of a good size, I caught many just under the 50cm mark and with full bellies. It makes for a good session when the bass are all over 40cm. Managed 41 with a lot caught early.I keep forgetting to take a selfie so you dont forget what a handsome bloke I am Dino
  20. He doesnt need much help, just steered him in the right direction
  21. I was going to head north yesterdaybut was unable to reach my deckie, so headed out to NPD late (9am start ) Headed out intothe main channel and run into a couple of PRFMA blokes that had just added a couple of more fads to the water. While having a chat I noticed the sounder lit up with bass everwhere. Bowled over 40 on bait then continued down stream.Ran into this fishingnut talking to himself in the middle of nowhere, he said he was finding it hard so I gave him some info. I then carried on determind to get some on spinnerbaits, I just love that kaching when they attack the lure.I picked up a few trolling crazydeeps before heading home. As I rounded the last corner there was Beau having the time of his life, so I stopped and increased my score by a few more. 76 all up, jigging, trolling and baiting. Dino
  22. My 2 favourites, a take on a spinnerbait and a take on a surface lure in a creek.
  23. Started with a rush this morning, 30 at the first spot, then off down the dam looking for the schools. Once again they had moved on, so hit the edges for a bit of fun. Managed 51 bass all up, 40 on shrimp and 11 on lures. Dino
