  1. i got too the boggy creek ramp but left my rain jacket at home waited a bit for the rain to go but it didnt so i came home and yes the creek i wanted to fish cant get in at low tide
  2. looking at getting an electric motor for the tinnie and was wondering what anyone on here uses,it will be for trolling the shallow water of the creeks and river entrances any help would be great.brad
  3. heading for a troll tomorrow morning chasing the big flathead that should be around the place,have done pretty good there in the past just hope the wind stays away for a few hours.brad

  7. little bit slower today on the spanish but ended up with one and a few snapps,lost some big snapper today
  8. yer i will be out there until midday or before if i get a few,got to be back for the grand kids by 1-30-2-00
  9. got to the rock around 7am with a few livies on board ,i couldnt get one to the boat the first 15 hits either mist the mark or got sharked,got 4 nice snapper in the boat and with 2 livies left i sent one out it lasted all of 2mins got sharked,there where so many spanish around with the baits lasting only a few mins before getting hit,i had the last livie out and it got smashed and after a 3-4 min fight i had boated the first spanish,left the rock at 9.30 so was a pretty good morning sesh going out again tomorrow.brad

  12. nice i use to try for them at fishos i got none but bad caught heaps back in the day.
  13. least you got some fish,do you get them on the troll if so you use a down rigger?
  14. garmin do good chart plotters and with the sounder some sounders dont read under 2 meters so i guess you want one that will read under 2 meters aswell furuno make good ones maybee look for a second hand one 585 would be good as a sounder but garmin is good for navagation a95sv i think would be ok,or you could run a tablet with navtronics on it would be a cheaper option
  15. i didnt do too good got some nice crabs near the boat ramp in howard in the burrum river,some locals got some good whitting in gregory crk i think its callednear the southern end of woodgate north past the ramp at walkers point
  16. not much for me on the weekend was pretty windy up my way got a few small fish the kids had a ball and got some nice muddies so i washed them down with a few cold ones ,was some goos whitting caught one went just under 700 grams and around 50 cm and some cracker flathead around the 71-75 mark .
  17. heading up to burrumheads next thursday for a few days fishing with the grand kids we entered the burrumheads easter classic should be fun,with the wind up,at this stage iam towing the new 4.2 blue-fin we wone in the oz-fish classic last year,will try for some bread and butter fish,and put a pot in or 2 and try for a nice muddie.if the wind dies down i will take the bigger boat up.thanks brad
  18. where is rooneys mate dont know witch boat iam taking yet might take the big one if not the bluefin
  19. i will be up for the burrumheads easter classic i hope to catch a few and chat to the locals up there so will let you know
  20. we use to get them alot when i was longlining a real pain
  21. yes it was the time we spent out on the reefs was the best and only coming back to re stock was great weather .
  22. i should be in on this will know more on the 25th of this month,iam sure terry might come too depending on his shoulder,and my brother just got a 650 quintrex so he might come too.
