That's another ripper, Kat. I know it is the same fish though. The 1cm shrinkage happens when you freeze them. Next year it'll be 41cm.

Responding to my own post... Not quite a year, 1 cm smaller but still a great catch.  This one was almost dead low tide just after dusk.  Same spot X.

Main Beach I think - mainly because I was planning on worming there - so the other family agreed to meet at whatever beach we were worming at - or Narrowneck - presume one is the same as the other.  We have previously gone to the dog walking beach near the sand pumping jetty - but the dogs always get in the way as they are interested in the stinky bait and what you are trying to pull out of the sand lol

Hey Legends - I have been wanting to give surf fishing a go and was planning on beach worming tomorrow morning to fish the creek in the evening.  The kids now may have a playdate at the beach tomorrow so it might be my chance to give surf fishing a go.  Am I likely to get whiting in the gutters at this time of the year?  Anyone know?

From what I have been told by a few fish is is that the next 6 weeks is prime time - but I always thought it was later in summer?

Had a bit of a break in the wind today , so went out about  4 km .
After about an hour of sounding we found what appeared to be a wreck  and plucked a feed off it .
Then pulled  a little cobe off a whale on the way home. 
Tuesday and Wednesday are looking good so hopefully we’ll get  some good fish out wider.

I'd be asking a/the shed manufacturer to help you out with someone who may be able to do it.

Went for my first snapper hunt since the closure ended on Wednesday. Fished the last two hours of the run in and first hour of the run out in the southern Bay. Fishing was dead until the tide turned, then started to get some very finicky bites. Managed a feed before the dreaded northerly made it too uncomfortable so headed home with 3 pannies and a chunky bream. Only by-catch was a couple of grinners which were turned into strip baits and accounted for one of the snaps.

That's another great feed. Well done. Do you think that if you keep this up @ellicat will achieve a 4 week fishing drought? I reckon he might return with a combo that wasn't packed 😅
