queensland got a feed

Had a bit of a break in the wind today , so went out about  4 km .

After about an hour of sounding we found what appeared to be a wreck  and plucked a feed off it .

Then pulled  a little cobe off a whale on the way home. 

Tuesday and Wednesday are looking good so hopefully we’ll get  some good fish out wider.

What is the fish third down on the left in the first photo?

I call them Indo Snapper  , they are very similar to Mangrove Jacks.

Nice Neil! Hamish - it looks like a Dark-tailed sea perch Lutjanus lemniscatus

they have orange/yellow markings on each scale around the head

Not very common and grow to about 55cm max. I've eaten one and it was delicious!
