That's a great feed, considering the conditions and vermin numbers. Quality too.

Ha ha.  I was thinking homemade.  Either way anything with lots of butter and jam is good.

Great fishing trip.  The wind is fierce at the moment.  Was hoping to see a pic of the Jam Drops 🤣

Ray , Mark and I braved some very inordinate conditions at NPD  this morning . With 25 knots of South Easterly wind accompanied with squally showers strongly  apparent, the possibly of donuting was high on all our minds as we pushed our way down the dam.The previous ritual of a serving of chocolate donuts each was employed as per my previous trip with Ray , and again the donut was adverted. It was giant fork tailed catfish after fork tailed catfish with the odd bass thrown in just to keep us interested for the first few hours Something special was required to break us out of this ground hog day trip. I opened my lunch box , and low and behold my darling wife had packed us a bag of Jam Drops . These little treats proved to make the day turn from ok to extra special event. Believe it or not we then proceeded to pull 14 really nice yellowbelly  plus a few more bass off one snag in a few short minutes . It was carnage till a big squall came through and we called it for the morning.

Got my new boat last year after 20 years owning my last tinnie. So I talked the wife into an upgrade and bought a 651 Mclay hardtop.
I got straight into getting some good mojo for the boat with a few trips offshore brisvegas and a trip out on the bunker group up north.
I very happy with it so far and here is a few pictures now we can load them up again on AFO.

    Hello fellow anglers,
I'm Andy, originally from Hong Kong, and currently residing in this vibrant city. By profession, I'm a product manager, but my passion lies in the world of fishing. You can also catch me as a part-time fishing video blogger.
As I journey through middle age, I've found solace and excitement in the art of fishing. My interests primarily revolve around freshwater and saltwater lure fishing, where I find immense joy in the thrill of the catch.
In terms of my professional endeavors, I am involved in a business that specializes in products related to deep drop fishing, particularly focusing on battery packs tailored for electric fishing reels from renowned brands such as Daiwa and Shimano. If you're interested, you can find more about our offerings at www.batterysmith.com.
Here, in this forum, I hope to exchange insights, experiences, and techniques with fellow anglers. I am eager to learn from the vast pool of knowledge present in this community and contribute in any way I can.
    Cheers,

Decided to brave the 12 knot SE wind forecast with @Old Scaley today. I thought the Rainbow would be a bit sheltered and launched from Manly and headed across a pretty lumpy bay until we got in behind Peel. Ahhh.
Steve put a trolling board with a 3" spoon out and I put a 6M Laser Pro out. First line over a previously successful spot and Steve was on. A grinner. A grinner that ran across my line and gave us an almighty tangle that required a bit of cutting. After sorting that out we proceeded and Steve picked up a nice schoolie, going 56cm. I changed down to a 2.5M Laser Pro with a smaller profile. Caught weed.
Changed my rig to a trolling board as well. We passed over a bait ball and we were on alert. Double hookup and they were both thumping in the opposite direction, giving a good account of themselves. Steve's got off, but I managed to land mine, going 62 with a bit of missing tail. Steve then picked up another good one.
Then we got another big tangle that required more cutting. During that time the macks moved and we couldn't relocate them. We trolled on but our luck had run out, so we retired the trolling gear and headed down to SE Peel to find the 'Hole in the Wall'. We found it, but being more exposed, was a bit rough for fishing so we headed back to Green Island. Conditions were pretty lumpy still, but not too bad boating in the same direction as the waves.
By the time we got to Green things were looking ordinary, so we called it and headed back to Manly for a 12.30 finish, an hour earlier than planned.
Thanks for braving the conditions, mate.
