Original plan was to meet up at Nudge Boat Ramp was for 5.30 but the rain kicked in and we ended up pushing off around 6. Weather was still like soup with some heavy showers but we headed out anyways. It's times like these when you really miss a cabin  in the scout. I reckon you would only be able to pass into the bay on the top half of the tide....I might be missing some local knowledge but I went over some 30-40cm spots using the nav! 

Looked like it might clear up as we headed south across the front of the airport and river mouth. 

Literally pulled up dropped the electric and threw some soft plastics for a couple of hits before getting pissed on from the side as the showers really kicked in. Son decided he had enough and asked to head in after a solid 25 mins of fishing 

It didn't look like it was going to get any better so thought about the asking why our son has a cold and decided to head in. 

I am glad I did it but sad we didn't push through the weather. 

Was home in a hot shower by 9am!

i got too the boggy creek ramp but left my rain jacket at home waited a bit for the rain to go but it didnt so i came home and yes the creek i wanted to fish cant get in at low tide

looking at getting an electric motor for the tinnie and was wondering what anyone on here uses,it will be for trolling the shallow water of the creeks and river entrances any help would be great.brad

heading for a troll tomorrow morning chasing the big flathead that should be around the place,have done pretty good there in the past just hope the wind stays away for a few hours.brad

nice i use to try for them at fishos i got none but bad caught heaps back in the day.

we use to get them alot when i was longlining a real pain

yes it was the time we spent out on the reefs was the best and only coming back to re stock was great weather .

great report lance the river system and the water falls look great the fishing too could be a wanderers trip there in the future,great vids too

so if i get live prawns from the logan and say they have white spot,and take them the the pine wouldnt that be spreading the white spot,it should be cook where you catch and not be able to transport them all over the place.i have heard that china or japan one of them had a similar problem they had it fixed in 6 months i was told

you can still crab and prawn in the logan and all infected areas you just had to go by the guide lines set by bio-secruity

witch means cook on site, green crabs and prawns are not too leave cooked ones can
