At your age I’d be concerned about your heart if that (highly unlikely) event manages to happen ….

Nice work @Wayne-o, good session and good result. Im not certain but I think I’ve read about/seen good trout from Sunshine Reef. What pound mainline were you running out of interest?

Long version: Modify my shed and drawbar on boat trailer (fit a swingaway) so I can have my boat at my place and use it more. As a flow on effect, finally have a crack at some prawns. Also fish the river mouth for jewies and threadies (still yet to catch one). Fish for winter whiting more ( and use the heads as bait to catch more snapper and grassies). And possibly/hopefully start doing a bit of kayak fishing with my boys (they got their first braid combos for Xmas and are keen to catch some flatties). Short version: fish more (and therefore hopefully catch more ..).

I think you’ll find more success by trying to set achievable goals Greg ….

Ah hellooo, I don’t need to …. Besides, there was that one year …

Submit it anyway Hamish, just be conservative with your guesstimate. The SCC ‘may’ approve it ….
-
In your submission be sure to include plenty of detail about where, when and how to catch them to have the best chance it will be accepted .. .

Pretty sure private.

Thoughts are with the families of all involved - three dead is a terrible tragedy .

If you haven't heard, a boat carrying 11 people capsized near Green Island yesterday arvo, I think during the storm. Seems that 8 people were rescued, two were found dead (RIP) and the search for the remaining person was called off at midnight last night, with the search resuming this morning at first light. Terrible storm yesterday, enough to turn over what sounds like was a 39ft cruiser. Thoughts are with the families of those involved and please say a prayer that the remaining missing person is found. Very sad . https://www.aap.com.au/news/two-more-dead-as-storms-ravage-se-qld-four-missing/

I reckon it’s up to the Northsiders to lift their game … don’t recall Qld coming up with rules during their 8yr Origin reign to give the other mob a better chance of winning …. Start encouraging a few participants - @christophagus, @Dinodadog, @Luvit, @benno573, etc.

How much fishing will you be able to do Brett - Brian will need to work out whether to count you as a whole angler, half or quarter for his ‘averages’ idea …

I know 'someone' who used to that to the flying foxes that landed in his large fig tree in his backyard ...... 'he' tells me it was great fun ...... that and lobbing soccer balls up into the tree ....... .
