Went along to it today, was pretty similar to last few years, but if you are looking to buy something new  that is worth a bit eg , boats, trailers, motors, sounders or anchor winches etc you can definitely score a better deal than you would normally at other times of the year from the same outlets or distributors. The bargain bin tackle section near the entrance had pretty much the same lures/ tackle as last year and will most likely drop prices right down on last day of the show but also some of the more popular items will have sold.

Ended up with a sailfish. 😉

I considered a jack plate but you miss out on a lot of things too, no swim platform possible, still need the splashwell, extra weight too and it could definitely use a bit more flotation

Im looking at an ally  pod and bolting it onto the transom.

Boat builder is your best bet. Some boats love pods, other's just aren't designed to have the engine back further. Then you have the design to think about. Do it wrong and the water pressure will "suck" the stern of your boat down making it a pig.

If there are not many hours on your engine, selling and buying the right one might be a good option. Personally I would try the jacking plate as Junky suggested.

Thanks guys. I will try to follow it up, but I'm not hopeful. Seems to be a mystery to everyone as the last communications about the place seem to date back to 2013.

My mate and I were drifting past there one day and somebody was using the huts. We called out to ask who do we contact to make inquiries, and they called back, the "Summer Fishing Club"

But that lead went nowhere. It's a shame this information is not more widely known as there must be lots of retired fisho's, Like me and my mate, who could go there for an over night stay during the week.

It's hard to make bookings when you have no contacts to make one.

Private huts. The old fellas who runs the "Green" one do let local clubs and schools use it occasionally.
