Fastest bleed out is cut the gills on  one side. Heart pumps blood to the gills to re oxygenate. Iff gills are cut then it just squirts out
Same for fish. Dont cut the throat. Then your cutting the pump. (the heart) I wrote a thing on this ages ago. I used to be a longliner and have fished with other Pros that supply islands and general fish stores.
Then by removing the liver (with the guts) and the fins and tail removes the majority of ammonia and sharkiness.
Next time you catch say 2 tailor... cut ones throat and the other cut its gill. leave in bucket of water 10 mins. Then Ice..
    Compare the fillets when home.

Shark is great for eating especially the 1 mtr range..
Tricks. As soon as u catch it Bat over the head. Cut fins off and put knife through all the gills on one side. Strop tail and put in seawater to bleed out 5-10 mins.
Remove head and guts... Then eski for few hours,
Once you get home fillet and skin. Then cut fillet into bread size squares and fillet the fillet so it is 1-2 cm thick. The thinner the better. Then chop into strips and put in a bowl of milk for atleast 4 hours. overnite is fine.
When ready to cook rinse off pieces then roll in flour etc and cook.
I have left it in the milk in fridge for a cpl days too. It is still great
My kids love shark nuggets and even far north qld fish snobs have said it was nice. not knowing it was shark.
When I have a quiet day or all the big ones bust me off, there is always a feed of shark if reqd. I just tell me Mrs its Brown/Bronze coral trout.. hahah

Crocs... The water is crystal clear and you are way upstream in rapidy water, Creeks are narrow like 1-2 m wide and 1 -2 ft deep. Plus you have already gone past a few waterfalss. Crocs dont like climbing waterfalls

Right up in any FW creek. Smaller and tighter the better. One to 2  cast each pool. If you miss one move to next pool or waterfall upstream.. They spook hell easy. Pretty much you try cast flat 1 mtr off water. If they are there they follow the flying lure and hit ti as soon as it hits the water mostly. So you gotta be quick.
Out the back of mossman there are a fair few creeks that are small. You will get them up there. Be prepared to treck a few mile thru jungly stuff. Walk up stream and fish. Tread quietly. or fish a pool/ section, then wade thru it to next section. I do best in rapids and pools. Open water is slow for them and they easily spook.
If you head daintree way there are creeks and rivers well north of cape trib. There are a few creek crossings though. I have caught plenty along a creek that runs parralel to the road near Ross. There are also plenty near fig tree beach north of cape trib. The first creek crossing. Walk way upstream of there.
April for salt is getting toward the dead times. Cold water, starts to shutdown. Plus the trade winds kick in as mentioned.
If Im home from sea at the time your up and there is a decent day il take you out after macs etc. I live 45 mins south of cairns though. contact me closer too then

    Vessel has since departed overseas.

I think he is great. The Larrikan that is missed in todays Political Correct world.
Anyway he does a lot for mental health awareness and donates alot to who ever he can. Any one wanna help with a petition to get the over the top BS lawsuits against him quashed.
He may not be everyones cup of tea but his heart is in the right place..

Lee Rainer isnt too bad... hasnt  sold out yet, And shows a bit of how to. You dont get that anymore... No time for how to. Just buy this and this is what  you need." Today we are using the stella 200 stradic with such n such combo to catch bream" ...  The big angry fish guys are good at what they do.. Even if it is nearly the same week to week. They are getting up there with the Ads. They must be loaded.
I used to like All for Adventure.. Seem like nice blokes. They are goin full sponsorship and merchandise road. Guess thats what you gotta do to do it full time. Just dont understand the logic of singlets in the Aussie sun, or caps. And they promote their stuff. I think a singlet is like 50$. Sell merchandise but sunsmart promotion would be more responsible.
