Can't really help you but would reckon the DOT would
point you in the right direction. See what they say and goΒ
from there. Good luck and update your findings.

    Hey Joseph,
I don't know them sorry. but as no on has answered your question I thought I would post some links
This video shows some people fishing them.
By the looks it is just the shallows straight out from Raby bay but north of Cleveland Point. I know its not the info you are after specifically but I hope it helps.Β
I hope that you are not thinking of being out there this weekend. It looks like a write off due to the wind. Good luck and I hope you can post up some reports telling us how well you did πŸ™‚Β

    Hey mate,
not sure which refs you refer to but there is a lot of rubble ground in that area, especially around the drop offs. Best fished early morning or late afternoon with the lightest gear possible and soft plastics around 3.5” to 5”. Colors vary depending on the weather, water clarity etc.
i’d spend a bit of time looking at the forecast for this weekend though mate - it’s not in any way, shape or form kayak friendly for the open bay.

G'day all. I'm hoping to get my kayak out on the weekend and was wondering where the raby bay reefs are. I've heard they hold some nice squire and the odd snapper and would like to work out where it is so I can fish it on my kayak (Viking espri). If anyone could please give me some maps, charts or coordinates I would really appreciate it. Also, how is it best fished.Β
    Cheers Joseph

jigs work well, they will also take small hard bodies and small plastics. there was alot of tips and discussion about them on a recent topic (below)

A good tip for pike is to use about a #2 whiting hook with a small sinker above it.Β
Get a micro fiber cloth (I use Red but white works just as well) and cut a small strip out of it (about 5cm x about 1cm)
hook one end of the cloth onto the hook and cast and retrieve. It is deadly. Even if the Pike miss the hook there backwards facing teeth catch in the fabric.Β
I also like to eat pike... not many others do but they are delicious.Β
If you float the smaller live pike out under a float you can catch other fish like school mackerel and Tailor.Β
Pieces of pike will catch you Bream and squire.Β
Long fin Tuna sometime hang around those areas and they can be caught on slugs and plastics but this is a rare catch.Β

G'day everyone, thinking of trying Wellington point soon but never fished there before. I'm really big on live bait fishing and was wondering if there's much that hangs around under the pier. Should I use live bait jigs or a net and what bait have people been getting. Also, what fish other than bream, Whiting, flathead have been getting caught recently. What baits and techniques have people had most luck with in the past. All replies will very much appreciated.
    Cheers Joseph.

Hello all, the other week I went down and fished at the Manly rockwall. after fishing for about half an hour I had ended up with a pike which I somehow landed a pillie on 5/0 gangs. I cut it up as strip baits and sent it back out, after a few hours of waiting I hooked up to a shovelnose shark. It was a super fun fight and ended up measuring 140cm (Then released him). If people could please give me some tips on how to catch pike consistently, that would be much appreciated.Β
    Cheers Joseph.

Thanks mate. I also walk out from the pelican thingo and fished the spot just to the right of the channel marker that you see when you look out at from the park. I use live yabbies on a size 1 long shank, roughly a 60cm trace and to a swivel and a small sinker. When I was there I also got a few squire, a couple grunter and some other undersized Whiting. But probably the coolest thing that happened when I was there was a massive flatty smash up some bait just in front of me. He was bigger than my best flatty (74) so maybe around the 80 mark. If you could let me know how you fish it/ what fish you have pulled from the creek I would appreciate it. Thanks πŸ‘

G'day all, I went and tried out the mud flats at Tingalpa creek mouth and had a good fishing session on Sunday. With a 24 and a 28cm Whiting I was pretty stoked. I was just wondering if the rain will affect the tide heights around Saturday as I don't really want to show up and have nowhere to fish πŸ˜‚. Any answers would be appreciated but people who have tried the spot before would be amazing. Have a good rest of your weeks fellas πŸ€™πŸŽ£

I don't believe we have had enough rain to make any difference to the tide height.

    Nice one mate.Β
I love walking out at low tide from where the pelican sculptures are.Β
YOu would need a flood there to change water height so don't be put off. The water quality and clarity might vary but I reckon it will bring all the fish to the mouth of the creek so worth a shot.Β
    How do you fish it?Β
