  4. yeah thats not a bad idea however if i was going up north i think id rather go harvey bay, got a couple good spots there. Im surprised though theres not many ledges in brisabne at all
  5. Hey guys, not asking for any spots but just wondering if theres any rock ledges in brisbane that hold decent fish, ive been trying to find some but i dont know if there is any, I think closest thing ive found is scotts point and if im going to the coast, snappers rock but its always packed a relatively far. Another question, which islands which has good ledges would i be able to get to on a fairly calm day on a 3.7m tinny? Thanks guys
  6. Last trip to Moreton was quite interesting. Went to a spot I normally have good luck at. Been fishing the river lately so was really nice to go fish ocean for once. Water was very dirty which was expected, never seen the water that dirty around that area before so it was quite a change. Got to the spot early morning and was glassed out which is normally, conditions looking amazing and the hopes of something decent was high. Was planning to go for tuna and mackeral but I normally get tuna in winter, mackeral and maybe cobia was still an option though. We managed to get some live herring which died pretty quickly so we put it out as dead bait and managed to get a few out live. Sadly only bream were out and something else that kept taking our bait, never know what it was but I doubt it was very big. By then we were fishing for about 3 hours and it was now 11am, decided to get some bream just to have some fun. My small rod was rigged up for lures as I was throwing lures so I decided to use my 7-15kg rod for bream in structure, maybe not the lightest rod but it definitely feels like a 4-8kg rod. I put small cut pieces of herring on a small hook and a small sinker and kept the bait between the shade and sun and managed a couple bream all between 25-32cm. I put out the rod with herring again and leader got clean bitten off which lifted by hopes up, mackeral were around. After no luck on the stickbait in the morning i decided to put on a 30g metal in a shiny green colour. After a bit of casting a decided to go for bream again. My mate went to practice his casting with the rod later that day around 1pm, 2nd cast mackeral. Wasnt big by any means maybe 35-40cm but still better than nothing. Put a 30g metal on his rod in a bright pink colour and started casting. Got a couple more after that but they were very scattered, not as many bust ups as usual as well. Anyways that was my trip to Moretan last weekend Tight lines

yeah i dont think anyone can persuade me to get aliexpress line on a high end reel. I might skip the varivas then, taline might be another option. Ive tried sunline castway but it didnt last me long

  12. Just realised im using 90mm at the moment, so thinking of getting some 68mm/70mm and maybe a 100mm or 110mm
  13. Hey guys, im after some advice, for chasing tuna and mackeral with metals what length do you find best? I've been using 70mm but want to know what everyone else uses as well, im thinking to get a couple 90mm but don't know. Thanks

  16. yew not bad im going with a mate from school on friday hopefully get bait, been no bait around lately at all. I feel like i know who you are lol
  17. easy as man helps alot, i got a pe8 rod might pair with a 14000, and i got a spartan pe1/3 and a 5k will be too light for gt im chasing
  18. Hey guys just wandering if im targeting 10-20kg gts what PE rod should i use and what size reel. Thanks
  19. i highy recommend getting a couple zman slimswimz 2.5inch and the grubz ST 2.5inch. I recommend the grubz ST instead of the normal grubz since their tail is split which makes the action so much better. And just match those plastics with a jighead that soughts water depth your fishing and target. I like to use a 1/8 or 1/6 for flathead, jew threadfin and ill sometimes use a 1/12 if the conditions are mint. If im going for bream i tend to use 1/16 heaviest mostly throwing 1/24 or 1/36. 1/12 and 1/6 and really good all rounders in regards to hardbodies, daiwa make some really good crank baits, i personally love the spike 44 and 53, also the slippery dog and sugarpen are really nice topwater lures for summer.
  20. easy as mate, i dont know if private message is possible on this chat but you create a post reaching out to me ill see it haha
  21. hey mate i wouldnt mind organising a fish with you and can show you a few spots and put you in the right direction, im more of a saltwater fisherman, love rivers canals ocean, dont mind fishing freshwater every once in a while
