yeah definitely, however if you getting same amount of hits or thicker line as you are on thinner line even if a few less i would stick to it, because it adds weight to the cast so youll cast further
-
yeah if your fishing rock ledges fishing alot heavier surface or suspending lures are great especially those 100-120grams, your rod isnt super long as well itll do the job but an 8'3 or 8'9ish would be grap. personally im not a fan of the 9ft 6 as i think its too long for me but anything over 8ft 3 is a dream. If your fishing off ledges and you know there big fishing which i would assume hence the heavy setup, id use a full spool of 50lb braid with a about 2m of 100 pound leader, i also like to leave move line between my lure and eyelet when casting since i can cast further

Thanks everybody for the advice, really appreciate it. I searched for hours last night trying to find something and i cam across a 4.7m boat for $2500, everything was in brand new condition only problem it needed a new motor. Ive decided to buy it and hopefully when conditions are alright ill go out. I think for now ill go sub 10 knots and maybe when i get more comfortable go up to about 12 but definitly not more than 15. Thanks for all the advice again

Hi guys, im looking for a boat preferable something under 5k so i was thinking a tinny and maybe doing it up a bit. Was wondering what size i should get, thinking of going moerton bay, fraser island and straddie island, also the sea way and port of brissy. Whats the smallest size boat i should get for those condiitons since i know seaway and seawall can be quite rough sometimes Thanks

Hi guys, I am a keen fisherman but really struggling to find spots that produce fish and are not fished by others. I enjoy beachy areas and want to try get into rock fishing. If anyone knows any spots and can tell me it will me much appreciated, you have my word, your spot will only be known by me. Spots can be up north but closer to Brissy than Sunshine coast, brisbane and gold coast. If you dont want to put it in this ad and want to keep it private, please shoot me a message. phone number is 0493 186 948 Tight lines

These rods are amazing, if you want to pay a bit more a daiwa infeet or a shimano zodias would be a great rod to pair with the stradic. Personally i wouldnt pair a relatively high end reel like a stradic to some $50 rod, i like to pair it with something similar in price range.

yeah i got to a close bcf quite often by private sellers are a fair bit cheaper

I would probally get a second hand stradic 4000 paired with a shimano jewel 4-8kg. and 20 pound braid and either 30, 40 or 50 pound leader depending on what fish are biting at the time. But you can't go wrong with a stradic, last forever. Another option if you want to spend a bit more would be a td black mq 3000 on a td sol rod or even a td black rod

Go seaway mate. theres so many there. everytime i go i catch at least one solid one

I know a few people who have them and they said they wouldn't choose any other reel. Theyve said the slammer is the best reel ever. Its very smooth and the drag on it is amazing. It would be perfect for shark fishing bro.
