    What a trip!
Not exactly the one I wanted but there are stories none the less. To explain briefly without going into to much personal detail 1.5 days into the triup and my dad got extrmely sick forcing me to leave and take him back to Kimbe for care. Gutted. I was happy to write it off as I have enjoyed the experience before. I was devastated for him as he was having such a good time. He managed one small black bass for his efforts. Thus I am left with not a lot to report except images. I am sure @John would be happy to fill in many details.
Points of interest were the bass were challenging to target due to an early arrival of white bait but some creative use of soft plastics enticed many to bite.
As far as hard bodies go trends moved back to my first trip experience with FCL Labo lures killing.
I do not have heaps of time to write paragraphs so will add some pictures now and more text later or reply to questions as they come.
    Visit to the village:

Black  Bass (Have so many more but how many can you see?):

Other Lutjanus species for the trip:

    Trevally:

Questions? I have so many more pictures of bass, cod, randoms, jacks... just trying to choose highlights.

Sensational report Lance - well done to Stu and yourself for pulling off such a complicated and yet ultimately rewarding trip. Beautiful part of the world.

It was a massive trip Kelvin and for the most part, everything that was planned worked out well.
We did have a few unexpected things change on us which is hard to know in advance but we worked through the issues and all worked out great in the end.

I expected a great report but that is incredible. What an amazing thing to do. You left out a lot of the tough things you would have had to put up with like mozzies.
I will be dreaming of that fishing hut by the river forever now and i think i will need to do a trip like this next year. Sorry in advance for all the questions you are gonna get.
Thanks so much for sharing this unique and extream adventure.

I have definitely not seen a report in a while but that can sometimes be a good thing!
Let us know how you go?

Forgot to say I think the 'cooking our catch' part is something we could all try to include more of. I know I'm lazy with how I cook my fish and would like to branch out a bit - now if I could just catch it more often ..........

Hi my name's Kelvin and I'm an AFO addict ...........     I read reports for a variety of reasons - preferably I like to learn something (rough location, techniques, baits used, seasonal info) but I also enjoy hearing the tale (so much interesting stuff can happen on a 'typical' few hours on the water that isn't just what we caught), hearing some banter and having a good laugh. I try to read most reports but when I'm busy with work I'll choose the ones that I can most relate to. I try to reply when I can but if I'm in a hurry I'll use the 'Reactions'.
I sometimes don't have time to watch videos (or it interrupts my/our TV viewing as I try to do two things at once ....) and then forget to go back to them. An example were some of @Luvits videos - I knew they'd be good, but kept putting them off, until I finally had a day off work all to myself and caught up. And boy were they good!!!!
I'd encourage people to try to reply to posts as much as you can as it will encourage the creators to do more. You can also use this reply process to try to glean more info too - obviously it's up to the writer how much info they want to give up. As much as I'd love everyone on this site to give me their best GPS marks, I know this isn't going to happen and am content to put the info and clues together and bit by bit work things out myself.

I read most reports, being such an amateur the reports that really keep my interest are the ones I can learn from. Tips on the gear/tackle/techniques used are always helpful and rough location is always a plus, don't need GPS coordinates but a general location is helpful as it can inspire me to look more into the area. The standard of report has gone up a few notches lately and I'm loving how there is more and more, even if they aren't all a success story.
In short, any informative report that you can learn something from is a winner for me.

I don't really care for exact locations, echoing Angus's comment on exploring our own.

BUT, I do like reports that cover techniques that worked or and sometimes more importantly didn't work.
Oh and unfortunate accidents happening to your fishing buddies  is a must (with pics obviously)
