Are you using 60lb mono with a paternoster rig and stinky old bait too?

something really small with lots of trebles or Berkley earthworm softplastics rigged like bait. Otherwise the only plastic small enough for them to readily attack are Damiki Bings

But when they are in a feeding mood poppers work too. This one is a big timber bass popper from D&S

Right at the end of the tidal influence there.
I would like to have an exemption to allow bow fishing carp and tilapia. Would be much less frustrating.

It might not be the most glamorous type of fishing but a quick flick at the local creek and getting a few pests out can't be a bad thing.

There are thouosands of small tilapia in there and all you need is a bit of bread under a float to catch them one after another.

There are also plenty of carp in there but they are smarter and if they see you while cruising around will disappear quick. If they are feeding, you stand half a chance.
    Next spot is Rochedale.

Lots of big Tilapia in there and council has gone to the trouble of building fishing platforms for you.

Low light or finesse fishing is best for catching good ones here.

    Product: Damiki Monstermiki 2.5" 4.5" and 6"
    Type: Plastic, shrimp scent
Colour Range: 6, plenty of solid colours to choose from
    Preferred Colour Thus Far: white
Quality: strong scent, soft with heaps of movement
Action: best when lightly weighted and wafted down the water column
Experience: the downside is that they are a pain to cast when lightly weighted. Better suited to dropping over the side or with the 2.5 inch I like to present them to bream and bass with a intermediate line on a 6wt flyrod.

Has produced the goods skinny water bassing and chasing bay snapper. Throwing a 6 inch one onto a 2oz nitro jighead and drift through pearlie terrain and it outfishes bait every time I have been out on a baitfisho's boat.
