Ouch! that's gotta hurt, I had just ordered a pair of 200mm Knipex bolt cutters for that very same reason, I do have a larger HIT 600mm pair for large shark hooks but also wanted a much smaller pair to carry around i my tackle bag for moments like these, should that happen to me or someone nearby. The 200mm ones are much easier to handle one handed and will cut though most (up to 3.5mm) hooks easily as well.
Only ever had one small hook into my thumb, it didn't hurt that much but by the time I got medical treatment hours later, the old thumb was well and truly "sensitive". The hook didn't go right through so the Doc aesthetically ring blocked my thumb, now that hurt! jabbed me about 15 times to try and make my thumb go numb, then they cut the hook tip out! That little episode left a lasting impression on me, don't want a repeat!
It's never fun and I try my best to not have this happen on the boat. Just in a rush trying to pack and a small mishap.

OUCH! Did you use side cutters to cut the barb off?
The boys had some nail pinchers which did the job.

Thanks Steve,
Predominantly in the bay for snapper the 3.75' jerk shads and 3' curl tails work the best on a 1/4oz jig head for most applications.
3 colours you could choose from are Mangrove Mauler,Tournament Snapper and Aged copper. (don't feel obliged to buy all 3 colours, just giving you a choice )

The Mangrove Mauler & The AGed Copper have color changing properties depending on which angle the the light that hits them. If it is overcast they darken and if sunny they take on a more translucent appearance.
Here is a small vid I did last week showing the how they change.
Thanks Wayne

One week before l head to WA for the big Kimberley trip. It has been a busy time taking over the Gobblers business, doing some orders, flying to Melbourne for work and getting gear ready to pack. In the process of doing this l had my worst hook in the finger moment and I wasn’t even fishing. I had a hand full of lures and while trying to pick up my jig bag full of heavy jigs. It slipped and one of the lures got caught in it and then as it dropped the hooks pulled into the finger.
Lucky they were small hooks. Kids cut it off for me and it pulled out easy.
We have extended our 10% off sale till the end of month if anyone wants any. Use the code MYS19 at checkout. www.gobblers.com.au

I sense no sarcasm here whatsoever...
Not at all, I use to use them myself and they are very good. (I know you're joking)
They market them so you can use them like bait and the biodegradable qualities makes you think if a fish eats them they will break down quickly in their gut. Unfortunately, it looks like they are like all other SP lures.
When someone comes up with a truly biodegradable option for SP's everyone will be using it.

Mate it's although you never had a break. Cracking fish.

Had a snapper with a 5 inch nuke chook 5" Gulp jerk shad in its stomach. No sign of deterioration.
Wow, they claim they are 100% biodegradable.
* Being 100% biodegradable this makes Berkley Gulp fishing lures the best brand choice so that you can do your part in protecting our environment ...
Maybe it was freshly eaten?

My Mate is not into trolling much so we'll have to see about a Sailfish.
Most of the time will be the Estuaries I think, chasing Barra.
