If you havnt heard of Willem Powerfish. Youtube Jetty Sessions.
He Is In trouble for one of his videos. He allegedly has some oil come out from a car he sunk whilst reversing a boat making a Video for youtube.
I think he is great. The Larrikan that is missed in todays Political Correct world.
Anyway he does a lot for mental health awareness and donates alot to who ever he can. Any one wanna help with a petition to get the over the top BS lawsuits against him quashed.
He may not be everyones cup of tea but his heart is in the right place..

Lee Rainer isnt too bad... hasnt  sold out yet, And shows a bit of how to. You dont get that anymore... No time for how to. Just buy this and this is what  you need." Today we are using the stella 200 stradic with such n such combo to catch bream" ...  The big angry fish guys are good at what they do.. Even if it is nearly the same week to week. They are getting up there with the Ads. They must be loaded.
I used to like All for Adventure.. Seem like nice blokes. They are goin full sponsorship and merchandise road. Guess thats what you gotta do to do it full time. Just dont understand the logic of singlets in the Aussie sun, or caps. And they promote their stuff. I think a singlet is like 50$. Sell merchandise but sunsmart promotion would be more responsible.
    Cant stand worstellings KID

I think fishing has been turned into a pile of ****. Almost a style now.. Like what we used to call a surfie, or a hipster..
The branded tshirts that are so loud.. Would never wear one. Old columbia for me. Practicle, Reliable, sun smart.
Average gear for me that is durable and reliable... I dont need a 300-500$$ bream reel. ITS A BREAM. (caught plenty on an old cork handline with GDAD as a kid)
Nor do I need a Stella for catching most fish.
40$ bream and bass lures... ONCE again. ITS A BREAM
100,000$ tournament boats with 300hp motors... AGAIN BREAM
Mark berg... u can take you god bless yous elsewhere. And you ripped off the 3 mtr flatty for your new shop.
Willem Powerfish is right... Bring Back REXY. Least he wasnt just a sales pitch knob. Had a bit of character.

My aim in fishing is to fill my freezer in the quickest way for the least $$$.  I buy 80% of my gear online thru Aussie stores and not the BCF and Tackleworld chains.
    Well thats my Rant

Your awesome Benno. Pretty much said it all. Put ET on that list of rubbish.. I timed his show once and there was literally 5.2 mins of fishing in half hour.

Fastest bleed out is cut the gills on  one side. Heart pumps blood to the gills to re oxygenate. Iff gills are cut then it just squirts out
Same for fish. Dont cut the throat. Then your cutting the pump. (the heart) I wrote a thing on this ages ago. I used to be a longliner and have fished with other Pros that supply islands and general fish stores.
Then by removing the liver (with the guts) and the fins and tail removes the majority of ammonia and sharkiness.
Next time you catch say 2 tailor... cut ones throat and the other cut its gill. leave in bucket of water 10 mins. Then Ice..
    Compare the fillets when home.

    5=10 mins
strop its tail, hang over side with head in water.. or a bait tank etc on boat. Just not into the ice water strait away or blood will congeal and not bleed out fully

Hope this helps See my dodgy paintbrush pic. just remember the trace i reckon should be 8-10 ft mono.. but up to you. there are ways of rigging ths so you can put hell long trace. And remove planer easy during fight Watch the yanks do,it.. My method is easy for me and works. Just depends on what you need it to do

You just tie the rubber around the stainless bar where it comes up from the flat plate, Go thru the ring, and tie it back to the bar.. Its just so the ring stays on the bended part.. See pic of planer where i drew a black squiggle. You could use light mono aswell.
Also see my hooks for trolling. 86lb wire. Make sure you put a swivel as seen in pic one behind the leading hook keeps the rig true, First hook just behind head. and I only put one of the gangs in. The other just floats. If I use live school mac there is 3-4 gangs at the back end.Only put one in so stays alive and swims better.
Wire in front of lead hook is about a foot to a small barrel swivel. Then 8-10 ft 90 lb mono clipped to the paravane.
If you cant clip onto paravane then Crimp on a small section of mono to it(1 foot) going to a ring or ball bearing barrel swivel.
I have a foot of Mono going to a coastlock swivel attached to the planer fin. Then I just clip on my premade 8 ft rigs as reqd
    youl work it out

Been doing a bit of this lately. Trolling paravanes for macs. I love em. 45$
So much easier than downrigging and quiet cheap. I use a small one
about 3 oz size. Clipped strait onto my TLD 25 with 15 kg line. 90 lb trace before and after planer.
Been trolling live chubb trevally (a small yellowtail trevally thing) 2-3 kts. you could troll gars etc but these livies work for me.
Troll the bait about 8 ft behind the paravane. Trolling the bait around 10 mtrs down.
They are awesome because as soon as the fish hits the paravane trips and its like fighting a normal rig but with 8 ft of trace. The only issue is if its a decent size bait or lure the paravane will trip easy. So i tie a light rubber band on mine to stop the ring sliding without a decent strike.
I got this one on it. And the next bait lost one half as big again rite at the boat after a half hour fight and near a mile chase. 1/2 spooled the TLD so I had to chase him. Estimated 30-35 kg. So I would have let go anyway due to cigutera potential.
The one pictured is EST 20 kg.
And before you ask that thing on my head is my face wrap.. HAHA
So paravanes I can fully recommend. you could drag them on any braid or mono combo so long as it is reasonably heavy as they create alot of drag until they trip.
