    Got some new lures today from BCF, they didn’t have any RMG’s though so I might buy some online. Also caught some shrimp in the river this morning. What’s everyone’s favourite top water lure at the moment?

    When I have fished for small rainbow trout, I have used about a size 8 mustad fine worm hook.

    One of my mates uses a 14000 and 5000 Stella on the reef at 1770 and reckons it is his favorite and best reel for heavy lure fishing or bait fishing.

    Yep, cast nets are only allowed in tidal waters.

    Try an opera house trap in the river for some shrimp, alternatively when the prawns are on a cast net is a great way to clean up on them.
