queensland Tinnie Advice For Green And Mud Etc...???
Leosonfire replied to Leosonfire's topic in Boating
Thanks everyone sound advice. I think I’ll scrap the idea of anything under 4 or maybe just wait another few years and get something bigger to suit the family. For now I’ll stick to my yak and Offer my deckie services, Brian will agree I am handy when it comes to pulling up an anchor on numerous occasions to get on your mark in 20m -

Thanks legends! Advice taken on board. reason for a cheap tinnie is.....after my trip with Brian yesterday to curtain I showed my wife the photos of Moreton Island and said how good would it be Able to take the family Over there on day trips and she said I can buy a boat for that in 3-4years when they are older (my twin boys are 3) so I said in the meantime I need a tinnie and she said if I give up one bad habit I can get one hence the need for something cheap. I can probably spend around 3k without being hassled by her but worried about what condition motor I get with that on a 4+Meter oh third world problems -

I think that’s a great idea! Let’s start a yearly individual comp and add a few more species?? And Add smallest -
Hi legends! Need some advice on tinnie size and hp to fish around green and mud etc. I wouldn’t go in anything over 10knots. i was thinking 3.7 25horse. Something like this? interested in your thoughts leo

Mate we only saw one boat get 1 tuskie there was not a lot of action and I have heard many boats lately have been having donuts at curtain. It’s bloody hard to fish when your hitting the bottom 100m away from the boat.

Well just found my favourite kayak fishing spot! Wello wello wello it is a great spot on a perfect morning, let’s put it this way....I won’t be fishing along Redcliffe any longer. launched the yak at 530am headed through the markers to the drop off, took a left at albakerky and shortly after I was netting my first squire measuring 29 I squealed like a school boy as this was my first I’ve landed in a yak! I started drifting right along the drop off and was getting hits but no luck until a two foot grinner took the bait. By this time my squid I caught a couple weeks ago had defrosted and I swiftly chopped her up. Fresh is best! I got hammered by something big! Fought for a minute and the snapped on the reef! This time I yelled like a cray Neanderthal! Now I was far right heading towards the mangroves and got smashed again and reefed but this tim managed to get him out only to see another 29 squire foul hooked. For the next hour I kept getting hit the reefed until I got excited but this time I pulled up a 40ish baby shark. Soon after landed another squire at 27 and started paddling back towards the ramp. I had another drop and a flat head measuring 42 was landed. Went quiet at around 1030 so called it a day. Had a great time at wello sand will definitely be going back!!
