    https://fb.watch/hjT8whog8V/ I found this amusing
  3. Sorry don't understand your response? One charter was pay up front and one was pay after the charter? Presume the latter required a deposit? Would be good to hear from those who have been ripped off - presume that he requires up front payment in full otherwise his scam wouldn't work very well.
  4. Sounds like everyone paid upfront in full? Is this normal for a fishing charter?
  5. Wouldn't know whether it would meet the test of the crime of Fraud - in my NZ experience the police would not get involved. Often the tax man is more interested and has more resources if you are trying to stop him from the continued behaviour.
  6. @Bretto77 don't know what you mean? @ellicatpolice will most likely say it is a civil matter - small claims would be way to go. Anyone checked his boat rego - trailer rego is current?
  7. Hi All Thought some of you might find this interesting. Consultation on proposed new laws making the wearing of Life Jackets and Lanyards attached to Kill Switch mandatory in some circumstances: https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/new-lifejacket-changes-proposed-for-jet-ski-riders-and-boaties-20221126-p5c1gu.html https://www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/gi/consultation/8856/view.html Cheers Kat

It's a habit now. Don't even know I am wearing it anymore, except for when I get a bit hot. I would say more to your response but it is a family site.

Brian forgot to mention the most annoying part of the day. Time was up so we pulled in the mackerel lines and disposed of the uneaten pillies. And before we started the motor and pulled anchor one or probably two schools, of what were almost certainly mackerel, swam under the boat!

Yes it was very pretty when it swam away. Gorgeous colouring
  11. Not sure there is such a thing as too many - unless your fridge, freezer and belly are full

Glad you had a great trip! Nice haul
  13. I have a Vanford 5000 and mainly purchased it because of the light weight - being a weakling of a girl I figured it would be easier to hold for hours on end than similar priced reels. I have found it to be fantastic - although given I haven't been offshore much or targeting bigger fish wish I had bought a 3000 or smaller.
  14. What did the biggest flattie go?
  15. Congratulations! Beautiful baby boy
  16. I caught a baby hammerhead at Macleay once. Yes it was very cute - for a shark
