@Old Scaley Thanks Mate. I was on another forum for 11 years. Mainly NSW people. The fun police arrived & everything changed, plus they sold out to some else who wasn't interesred in Fishing. They have lost a lot of members. Pin a badge on somebody with no experience & you have kaos. This is a great forum with NO BS. Cheers.

Hi All, Joined the Forum one year ago today. Seems like yesterday. I was made very welcome by a lot of people. I am having a great time, better than I did on another Forum that was full of fun police. It is great to read top posts & being involved. Cheers.

Hi, I fish a lot of break walls around the Central Coast NSW. Always use a gaff. That way I will never end up in the drink. My parents had a house onthe water at Sylvania Waters years ago. Allthe houses had rock walls. I always used a gaff. Cheers.

Hi All. I wnt shopping this morning, just to have a look if there was anthing new. Had a look at some reels. Picked up a Okuma Ceymar 30. Nice reel. Shoud suit my smaller rods. Had a look at a Okuma Ceymar 55. Looked ok. Both reels come with a 10 year warranty. Thats a plus. Paid $200 for both. Sick of paying big money for big name reels. Try them out when it stops raining. Cheers.

What ever you buy. Keep in mind if you ever want to sell. Popular brands are the go. They keep their value.

@Junky The king was caught on a 12ft Penn Prevail rod with a Fin-Nor LT100 reel wiith fresh squid. These reels will stop a Mack Truck. Cheers.

@GregOug I use Sax Scent. Bloodworm or Gold Prawn. There are others. Have a look at their Website. You an but direct or they have stockists every where. I don't put a lot on. Just lightly smear over the bait or lures. It does wear off, so you have to put more on. Cheers.

@ellicat I forgot to mention. I use Scent on everything, including metal lures. A good quality Scent works. ( IMO ) Cheers.

Hi All. School's out early. Arrived around 2pm just on high tide. Nice & calm. First up 2 bonito, follwed by a nice bream 34cm. One of the boys caught a 75cm kingfish. He had a great fight. He knew he was alive. Never caught a kingfish before. 2 tailor ( released ) Caught 2 snapper 48 & 50CM. 2 more bream. Bait was Fresh squid, Aussie prawns, Metal lures. My Squidrex lure caught the snapper. I had a new reel Big Boss 6000 spin. Not the most expensive reel around. Was given to me by Jarvis Walker to try out. Performed well. No problems. I had 15lb Pretest Mono line on it. Drag was very good. Top afternoon. Every body was happy. We are going to have a BBQ tonight. Cheers.
