Hi All, Arrived after sunrise. Bit of a swell. School holidays about to start. Will be busy. God's Country. Caught some under sized, released. First up a Bonito, Then a nice Snapper. Caught two more Bonito. Released them. Another nice Snapper & then a Drummer. These fish fight hard on 15lb line. Released him. Snapper were 44cm & 47cm. Bait was fresh squid. Dawia over there rod. 15lb Mono line. Penn clash 5000 reel. Newport Arms for breakfast. Just love this place. Cheers.

Hi All, Puppy woke me up early, so off to a different beach. Haven't been here for a while. Place was empty. Which was great nobody to annoy me. Whiting were the go. Running two beach rods. Bait & lures. First up a bream. Puppy was happy. Ended up with 5 whiting. The biggest was 34cm. Caught nearly everything on bait. Bait was nippers & beach worms.

Monday Afternoon. School was out early so we headed for the rocks. With their Mothers saying No. Quite & peacefull. I don't think many people come here. A bit rugged. Not like Avoca which sometimes can be packed with people. First up a nice snapper. Then two bream. One of the boys hooked onto something & was giving him a wild ride. A Kingie. His first. Put up a good fight. Three more Snapper & we headed home. Kingie was 68cm the Snapper 44 to 48cm. Bait was fresh squid & I was using my Squidtrex lure. I like this lure it catches snapper. Top afternoon. The boys were happy. Cheers.

Hi All, For the Shimano reel lovers BCF is running a Sale at the moment. You learn something new everyday. If you are using Braid you must have an Aluminium spool. Interesting. I use Mono so it doesn't matter. Cheers.

I have three Okuma Ceymar reels. Never had a problem with them. Bought them for under $100 each at a sale. Came with a 10 year warranty. Reels are like cars, if you service them you will never have a problem. I have a Toyota hiace van, 10 years old. It has done 560,000 k's. I take it everywhere fishing, never misses a beat. I do the servicing. Cheers.

There are some very good reels avaiable with 10 year warranties. Becaused thet are not stamped Shimano or Daiwa,you do not have to pay the inflated price. Cheers.
