  1. It was a rugged day did not have time for a cuppa or something to eat until we ran out of shrimp at 10.30. There was a soar of eagles that provided some excellent entertainment with the normal pair trying to send off a third eagle.  Some outstanding aerobatics with one eagle gliding upside down with its feet and talons extended whilst it was being divebombed. They were that involved in their battle they were flying within 20 feet of the boat.

Nearly forgot 89 bass between the three of us.

  2. Completely gutted it took over a day as I had to remove 2 X 24 volt battery banks using a crane. Brian uncertain if I saved any weight the reason I went ally was because the boat is stored in the open and the ply only lasted 7 years. I was lucky that I scored some 6m lengths of ally solar panel support raking that I was able to use for the framing.

  3. The only question at NPD yesterday was what colour icing we wanted on our donut. Have a look at the video that Hai took from the floats of the eagles nest. Impressive zoom . The small hat on the RHS belongs to 5 year old Jake . What a marvellous young polite gentleman he is. He did not get bored once and is so quick to pick things up. Showed him once how to install the rod holder on the gunnel and insert the rod in the holder and move the clip to secure the rod. Did not have to show him again. Something that some of other older persons struggle with. Shame we could not get him onto a fish.

  4. When we used to cable our redclaw pots in NPD quite often they were slashed open and the pot destroyed. A rubber band on the clip of shrimp pots is a good indicator. At least this time the pots were closed and the bait contains left in the pots. By the lack of shrimp and small redclaw I estimate that the pots were raided the previous day.
