  1. Nice boat, Ed. Looks a bit under-powered with that 5. haha How'd she get along ? Looks like it would have been a comfy ride.

  3. Just had a look at the MSQ rules (see attached pdf file). Page 2 RHS Only needs to be registered if over 4hp. choosingyourboat-1.pdf
  4. OK. I was always under the impression 4hp was no rego and 6 was, as well as a 6hp requiring a licence. That being why boat hire places used to only run 4hp motors. Maybe things have changed.
  5. 4 hp is 2.9828 kw, so just makes it into the non rego class.
  6. Hey Simo, Good to hear from you. That's quite a session ! lol Incredible numbers. They've been in huge supply lately. I've used them successfully on the snapper, so good luck with them.
  7. Sounds like a great time, Steve. How many ways did you prepare fish for dinner ? haha It must have been a good time, for everyone to want to do it annually. Welcome back.
  8. Good day, Ray. Conditions completely opposite to the other day. Very nice.
  9. Great land based fishing. How do you get them to go to school ? haha
  10. If it has a 6hp motor it requires registration. You would need to drop to 4hp to avoid registration.
  11. Nice getaway, Neil. The start of Day 5 was done the right way at the Eurong Bakery. Best fresh cream doughnuts in the country !! It doesn't look like it was too busy, either. That's another win.
  12. Good news, Matt. Can't wait to hear how big the difference the 60 makes.
  13. Nice one Darren. That looks like the May comp winner to me. Did the stonefish fight like a rock and waste a good bait ?
  14. Well done, Ray. You don't often see it chopped up like that.
  15. The jazziness in the first pic looks hard to do ?
  16. Nice protected spot. Do you get whiting in there too ?

It looked like they were going to run away with it, early. Close in the end. The Tigers ex-future half getting the bikkies.

    Kelvin, I'm coming for you.
  19. A bit wet and starting to get a bit nippy, too. Catching 17 fish is a good day for some of us.
  20. It was a tough day at the office, @Neil Stratford. I went out with @Leosonfire this afternoon for a dusk session. Sharks were a menace again, with Leo losing a good snap to a shark that took the body and then came back for the head. I managed this grassie as the only legal fish boated.
  21. Thanks for letting us know. Hard to beat a camping and fishing/crabbing trip with the family. I'm taking it that your mate was somewhat surprised to get a 53cm snap ! As for an over 40 whiting - well, that's just showing off. haha Lucky dog.
  22. Well, it casts very well, so for your target species I reckon 10lb would cover you - a bit more confidence if you need to put some pressure on a fish. Having said that, an 8lb version would cast a mile with a lighter jighead or lure.
