Gem bait and tackle. Jacob’s Well bait shop beside the ramp. Not cheap. Allow $40 per session.

Yeah mate its a 120 amp. What sort of hardware will i need to grab though?
I did a post on my installation a few years ago, but can’t find it now. Lots of videos on the net. From me the extras I needed were: battery case (cheap one); 60 amp inline fuse; 2 Anderson plugs; 2 waterproof covers for the Anderson plugs; red and black tinned 15 amp power cable; some waterproof solder joiners; heat shrink tubing; liquid electrical tape. I also bought a MK quick release bracket which I haven’t used (yet).
Hope this helps.

Hey Brian see if you can see this reel on Facebook mate?
Basically you can see we are in @ 6m of water and at around 1min you will see some fish moving across bottom right to left. Scale across and up are all in meters.
I then used the screen zoom to look more closely and you can clearly see they are barra. The grids are 1m square so you can see just how big these fish are.
That is really interesting vision @Huxstang First time I have seen live scope excel for demo mode. What are those straight vertical lines?

Where are you going to use it and for what purpose? Is it for moving you around freshwater dams where you are not allowed petrol motors? Are you happy to use an anchor wherever you fish? Or are you fishing salt water. If it is salt, I would definitely be looking at a unit with spot lock capability. For me, that is by far the most valuable function and you will regret not having it and start saving for a more expensive motor.
Like most things, you get what you pay for. Don’t rush in, really think about what you want out of the motor and then look at which motor suits that need. I have had more than 3 years of trouble free running with my MK and can’t imagine not having it now. -

Emojis are gone now too. Replaced by a question mark.

Ok. I am in. Will be using my usual strategy of blindly tipping all the QLD teams each week. Worked well last year until the Dolphins ran out of puff, the Cowboys decided to underperform and the Titans….. well less said about them the better. Good luck guys.

It was good as always to catch up with Darren and Brian. Especially good to see @ellicat getting another bluey. Shows you you don’t have to be a specialist to land them Sorry Brian, couldn’t resist- you’ve still caught 2 more than me. @kmcrosby78, I was out with a mate in his new rig and the day was more about fine tuning than fishing. We did drop a line near the boys and I got a big stripy, then the SES toads and grinders moved in so we headed home

I disagree with the West End residents saying there was nothing like this in previous floods. I often walk around the river side from West End to Kangaroo Point and last year there were masses of dead fish and some crabs belly up in the river. Having said that, IF there was a chemical spill it would be a worry. I hope the river gets back to being fish able soon but I think I will give it a miss for a week at least.

I have a mix of Marlin and Aldi manual jackets. Both brands comfortable to wear and like Elicat, I always wear one when our solo and always have the kill switch lanyard around my wrist. If others are on board I like to keep the jackets above deck in plain sight.
You would be used to putting them on but I recommend people who don’t usually wear them to practice getting them on quickly. It is not as easy as it looks.
Also recommend a step and/or a ladder. Depending on people’s age and level of fitness it can be difficult getting back into a tinny without it.
Stay safe everyone.- AUS-BNE-FISHO, kmcrosby78, fatboy and 3 others

Don’t get all excited Hweebe , the photo attachment issued isn’t fixed . (Sorry, it might be I didn’t even try it) My photos are attached via copy and pasting a link.Pain in the …… I’ve got a few more that I’ll put up later. That Northside 3rd placed squire won’t be in play for too long.
Well, someone’s been busy! Nice work, Neil. I need to get off my rear end and get on the water in January to help team South. Not that the team needs any help

Good for you @Hweebe I remember being. out fishing with @ellicat one day recently and saying I bet @Hweebewould have a solution. Still be good to get the old process back but good enough for now. Might try a quick report to test the process. I know Brian has been doing all he can to get it happening.

Service protocols are the same as the Burke 150. I find the process easy and relatively cheap. Good habit to get into because you don’t want an avoidable failure at a critical time.

You probably won’t need to bend over to tie your shoelaces for a while after that arm stretching session, Neil. Great stuff.
